Wow. That was great. 

 

I found something interesting out. Where you drag a lot of files from matters. 

 

For example: I selected all images starting with W->Z. I dragged from the very last one (ZZ<something>) and it started uploading all 900+ randomly (basically). 

However, if I drag from the very first one (Wu<something), it does it in alphabetical order. 

That is amazing to me as I never knew that even mattered. That dragging from a different point in the selection affected how Windows moved files. That is just... wow.

It was the "my flame spell" that was hilarious. That GIF is so perfect for a critically failed level 1 flame spell. In every way.

For those who don't get it, a critical failure is an absolute failure, which with a d20 die is rolling a 1. 

Rolling a 1 generally ends with you being incredibly stupid and hurting someone. The types of events it causes are like decapitating yourself in battle. Killing an ally. Running head first into a wall. Lighting yourself on fire. 

"Paladin will try to bash through the locked door." 

*rolls 1*

"Paladin rams through the door, apparently unlocked, with such ease that he goes flying over the cliff on the other side, falling to his death."

That kind of stuff.

The supposed main villain "the laughing man" is so long and boring, I found some of the other villains more interesting. The main characters don't have any appeal (I know they are cyborgs so they are not having much emotion and all) the most entertaining thing is watching the tachikoma, (Watching the Major in a unitard doesn't count as entertainment) which is just sad. The most interesting episodes till what I watched is the one with the tachikoma discussing among themselves and the episode with a killer that removes peoples skins. For some reason there is an episode with only a discussion about the laughing man and almost everything they say is the repeat of what we already know from previous episodes. So where exactly is the interesting part for everyone to recommend Ghost in the Shell?

 

 

Yea, I was surprised to see this rated so highly. I thought someone bribed the reviewer to rate it high or something.

 

 

Well everyone has stuff that they find interesting and Ghost in the Shell isn't my cup of tea.

 

 

I don't think I didn't like it coz it was a quite type, I loved watching Monster, Touch and other such series.

 

@BashZeStampeedo , @TheProfosist , @Skybane , @Pohernori Since you guys loved Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, I am curious to know what you guys liked about the series?

 

Ahem, generally like a strong female lead. 

I liked the times where Kusanagi showed emotions. Also the idea surrounding augmented humans and advanced  AI.

Why not do both ? I"m going to bed ... It's 0:11AM for me ....

... Life is a game and the checkpoints are your birthday , you will face challenges where you may not get rewarded afterwords but those are the challenges that help you improve yourself . Always live for tomorrow because you may never know when your game will be over ... I'm totally not going insane in anyway , shape or form ... I just have broken English and an open mind ...

I don't know what to tell you, because I had almost the opposite experience. I found the characters fairly intriguing because they have a more "get the job done" mentality rather than being there to emote their hearts out. They're Darker than Black characters, not Clannad characters. The Laughing Man plot features many nods to literature and is mostly about keeping on top of what's going on, rather than being spoon-fed everything. What you call repetition I found more of an exploration of the themes, which was indeed hit and miss sometimes, but definitely more on the intelligent side of such things nonetheless. If you don't like this kind of narrative style and don't pay attention, I can certainly see you feeling overwhelmed by trite-sounding stuff and a "who cares?" type of plot, but if you enjoyed Monster then I'm not sure why you couldn't enjoy GitS. Maybe you just prefer your crime thrillers to not be sci-fi, but rather the more classic "explore the criminal's mind" affairs?

PS: most people I know also hated the "stand-alone" episodes (aside from the Tachikoma one) for marring the pacing and being boring, but loved the "complex" ones (the main plot) and wished it had all been that. Perhaps that flaw was enough to upset the balance in your case and ruin the whole thing?

 

I only watched till episode 16 so I still don't know what the whole laughing man episodes is about. I think it's something to do with my mood when watching these kind of series. I did like Darker than Black too... maybe I was not in the mood to watch a sci-fi Drama and ended up disliking Ghost in the Shell. Maybe I will give it another time. Currently watching Breaking Bad TV Series.

Maybe it's because of all the lifeless characters, when you see some life it's starts feeling interesting. I liked the idea behind Ghost in the Shell, but I feel that they didn't explore it's full potential.

It's done guys. 8,279 images. I deleted some (NSFW-esque). If there are any others, let me know and I'll delete them (I want to, so please do.) Anything with too much bare skin. You know what NSFW is. 

So far, the worst I've seen is underwear. Nothing completely nude.

I haven't added them to one large album yet because that is a pain in the butt. I basically have to go through 140 pages and highlight every single image. I've yet to find an easier way.

There is not an infinite scroll option like what Reddit has with Reddit Enhancement Suite.

We should both try to get in shape. I'm also not in a very good shape. Not fat, but just lazy, and weak.

 

It makes it harder that nights here are not dark at all, and I just feel more energetic to do things (like jogging) when it's dark.

You must start at the diet. That's the foundation for being "in shape". It's easy to stay in shape once you are in shape while eating unhealthy food, but getting from out of shape to in shape is very very hard if you don't eat right.

Yup. I don't trust anything over 9K images on imgur. I tried to look at a 10K image background album and it just crashed on me. I can see my album. I'm slowly adding more images to it and cleaning it for duplicates & NSFW images. 

Gonna take a while, one page at a time. 

I hate how clunky/useless imgur's interface is for this. I'm beginning to get resentful. :|

I give up. I can see the images in the album. But I cant see the image I click to view more than the thumbnail. Lets me see other random images but not what I click on.
