So guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place for it, but...

 

The Netflix Death Note movie is utter shit. It has as much in common with the anime as Trump does with Martin Luther King, Jr. Also, it's just a really, really bad teenage angst/high school horror flick.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Probably gonna watch that, though I am looking for something that's more of under the genres of romance and slice of life. Any recommendations for movies under those categories?

Kimi no na wa (your name.) is kinda SoL + romance, not so much SoL tho 

 

edit: also Tamako's love story. it kinda requires watching tamako market but i think the film can be standalone

In my earlier post I said I watched both of those. I loved kimi no nawa but honestly tamako love story isn't all that great imo, it was okay but not something I'd go around recommending to friends like I would with kimi no nawa

 

any other recommendations?

I've seen the girl who leapt through time, it was decent but the romance part was kinda dialed down until the very end and even then wasn't the best. I haven't seen summer wars I'll check it out, also I personally don't really like dubs, I prefer movies and other media to be how it was meant to be.

 

any other recommendations.

I also dislike mecha anime.

Gurren Lagann proved to be entertaining enough to make me forget the mecha.

It started out good. But it went down the rails really quick. Don't remembe much, but I remember questioning a lot of their decisions, villain haven't been any good either. There were more peoblems I've found with it too, but forgot most of it by now. I suppose show wasn't memorable too.

I liked it, but it is indeed not really memorable, I barely remember anything of it.... It was some type of zombie anime right?

Then again, I also don't remember what happened in the latest episode of Boku no Hero Academia, from a few days ago, so there's that.
