Bring back channel superfun

Winders10

Superfun was the most lit channel on the YouTubes. Anyone know why it was discontinued? I was ballin watching those videos. We need to obtain baller status, hell even gucci status. The only way to do this is bring back Channel Super Fun. We wanna be Baller to even Gucci status.

They have dedicated writer for that channel. It was never dead, just that there wasn't anyone who wanted to spare time from more interesting projects to goof around.

Although it's not dead, CSF projects (like the squirt gun fight for example) seem to often require participation by large portions of the LMG staff, which I imagine has a deleterious impact on other projects. Most outdoor video concepts are probably a no-go in the Canadian winter, as well. So I wouldn't expect to ever see frequent content there.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

The channel kinda fell off when Berkle left the company. As he was the driving force behind it. I know they were going to kill it off, but have since decided they will post a video when they have time. It just the videos are few and far between.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Linus has, IIRC, never said they would kill the channel. Instead he has stated multiple times that he has encouraged staff to invent content for it and even allowed budget for those. So it has been more about no one picking up the challenge than anything else.

No, in one of the WAN shows long ago, he did state that they didnt have time for it and that Nicky V was the one person who was the heart of the channel. They pretty much implied that they were likely going to just not post videos. Then people started asking for videos and it became "When we have time" type of deal.

Ah, so you made assumption from that statement.

I think he also stated (probably at another WAN show) that they still get a steady stream of money, given small, from that channel so he’s open to support stuff for it as long as someone in LMG comes with ideas and it does not interfere with their production schedule too much they can afford a day or so from an editor to edit a video.

Well, every new CSF video seems to be written around a sponsored theme since 3-4 videos ago, so that's likely the way forward. Slightly less fun, but still entertaining.
To get back to the glory days of CSF, they would have to bring back Berkel.

BRING BACK BERKEL!
BRING BACK BERKEL!
BRING BACK BERKEL!

🙂

Dunno, for me he always looked like a genuine "come on it's just fun" bully and some of those videos were just mean.

Sure there were also plenty good ones but that is the style of videos they are doing today (like the one hiding in Linus house).

If there is genuine support for the channel internally I’m sure from a business standpoint without getting their sponsors involved in the channel the ad sense revenue alone doesn’t support a film crew or regular group activities which is why the last video was just Dennis and Ethan. Plus maybe there are restrictions in place limiting their opportunities for the channel.

as someone said above a home security sponsor would have been perfect here and based on all the “door open” alerts Linus has some home security.

He left company to work with something he has more passion towards. Mountain biking. If you liked him, you should be happy that he's doing something he loves.

Haha, it's far from the "most lit" channel, as can be proven based on sub count and video watch time. It just doesn't really make sense to invest too much into a channel that gets 1/5 of the views at best per video. It's probably best seen as a way to have some light hearted fun with the team, while profiting off of it at the same time.

Haha, winters in Vancouver are pretty mild. It's not even that common to get snow that stays for more than a day, maybe two.
