Pricey and still buggy if the articles when googling windows server is anything to go based off of. Everything from G2A is likely volume keys illegally being sold everywhere else wants $1500 for 16 cores or $500 for 2 CPU...

I run Windows Server as a desktop OS, and it's a lot better than Windows 10 in terms of overall stability. Been doing it for years, including Server 2008/2008R2, 2012/2012R2, 2016, 2019 and now 2022. Out of all of these versions the only one I've ever had any real issues with was Server 2016. 

 

I'm not advocating for piracy here, but who's going to stop you from simply not activating it?

Laziness... I'm basically done with Winblows (and the company who makes it) period. If I'm going to go threw the hassle of installing something ending up fixing it when it breaks I want something that I can easily fix via 2 or 3 minutes of google or command line and not needing to restart the whole system outside of extreme cases, not 2 or 3 minutes of scrolling threw frustrated users of MS help forum or sketchy install programs pages and still be required to restart once you find the solution...

 

My mistake was paying for Winbloat 10, but I needed it for gaming...

Found my old 2-1 laptop, wonder if it'll fold or die trying lol... Need to charge it to find out a task for tomorrow I guess.

I noticed Sing 2 as it had a prescreening today. Still not 100% convinced I should be going to the theaters yet (plus the fact I still have to show ID with vac proof, too much work for a movie, almost like the gov doesn't know impersonation is illegal as well as forgery), esp locally based on how they act... Equally the first Sing movie ended with epic failure on the theaters end lol... Got my money back in a form of free movie tickets, but still.

 

Right now the best thing to do for me isn't to go see a movie in theaters, it's to buy it on DVD/BR like I did with Free Guy. Want to get F9 might get it tomorrow, or might just say F it and buy the 9 movie pack , no idea where movies 1,4,6,7 are... Maybe lent to family. I like the fact the theaters are open however so I can actually buy the movies in a timely fashion instead of waiting like I had to do with Free Guy.

all i can tell you is i was NOT the only U2 fan in the theater LOL.

 

What processor does that 2in1 have lol?

Unless you throw in something stupid like a GT 710 and run it on potato 2004 CS:S quality. Tho tbh the 710 is the only card at MSRP right now...

That's how I ended up playing The Crew 2 on the 1070 but its horrible going back to 1080p.  That game engine is so dated and with its annoying pop-in its a vastly inferior experience to playing in 4K which improves distance visibility and does a surprising job of making the engine look better than it really is.

What PPD is the 2080 Ti?  My 3080 is pushing 6649K while the 2080 is 3407K, though the 2080 might be CPU bound as it seems to 100% a core on the i5 4690.

Neither are overclocked after I noticed the 2080 VRM heatpads sweating through the PCB so dialed back to power limit to 100%.

Sorry to say that i missed this event this year, but just to see it going on got me to start up the folding again for the first time since christmas 2019.

 

 

I must say that the results for overnight folding i impressive for the stock nvidia 1060 3 GB. Unfortunately as I am running Linux Mint with Mesa Drivers for the AMD Radeon Vega  56-card is a no go in folding and the same for the FaH-control-panel. Tried the unofficial updated variant but it does not update any information but the Chrome Extension is fantastic.

for windows/mac users you can run in edge or brave (both are chromium based with out as much bloat (edge) any bloat (Brave) and neither have the google tracking on them esp Brave.

According to lar.systems the 2080 Ti does about 5m and the 3070 is about 3.7, while a big(ish) difference once you look at MSRP price. All I remember is all the newly bought 2080 Ti owners crying about their "bad" purchase (and the old owners whining trying to sell it for $1200, if only they could predict the future), which reinforces (at least to me) why one shouldn't buy a high end tech units unless you're willing to be disappointed with something cheaper and better/equal coming out.

Never left 1080p, I rather crank settings all the way up and enjoy the show than have more pixels to push (plus 4k videos look really good on a 1080p screen). I've never played Crew 2 so I wouldn't know how good/bad it looks outside of YouTube videos.

BUT Sadly it was a 1 off WU they avg 1k PPD so i kinda doubt you will do much lol...

Does anyone know how to stop the auto-update to Windows 11? I wouldn't mind eventually updating at some point, once I've confirmed everything I use works well, but for now I definitely don't want to restart my PCs and find out they've been updated to Windows 11.
