Any 6 GPUs Chassis?

wlin
Go to solution Solved by Electronics Wizardy,

What board are you using? Are you using risers?

What gpus are you using?

There are lots of server cases that will fit 8-10 gpus in 4u, but there loud.

The problem is most gpus are dual slot, so that will need 12 slots and there aren't any normal boards that fit that many cards.

I found many are ugly miner rig frame, any enclosed PC chassis suggestion?

If your planning on building a miner rig, it's better to build with a frame than inside a case, it will be very difficult cooling 6 GPUs inside a small box that are running constantly at full speed.

People don't usually concern themselves with style when mining. Though if you have a vision and a specific need, an angle grinder and some sheet metal can turn into whatever case you want

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Thanks, everyone, I guess we don't have anything like it so far. Maybe, let's go down to 4-5 GPUs? (I build a 3 GPUs already :D, cost me around $500 totally without GPU.)

What GPUs do you plan to use and how many expansion slots will that take?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

A Corsair 1000D will fit 4 2-slot GPUs. I reckon with a suitable motherboard you could do up to 6 if you were water cooling.

even if you did 4 gpus in a closed case, you will be able to heat up frozen white castles in it in minutes unless you spend more than you will profit in 2 years if mining 😕

I am using RX580 right now; any good suggestions for less heat but the same or higher hash rate?

It'll be hard to find a multi gpu rig that is silent. Even with fully enclosed server cases, you'll need loud high pressure fans that spin fast so that the heat does not destroy the components.

No easy solution for mining. You'll have a much easier time leaving the mining rig in a seperate room. Best I could think of is bequiet db 900 + single pci slot gpus + a workstation motherboard so  that you can fit 7 gpus

i5 2400 | ASUS RTX 4090 TUF OC | Seasonic 1200W Prime Gold | WD Green 120gb | WD Blue 1tb | some ram | a random case

No they arent. They offer closed frame and you can get quiet fans. Just like any other case.

ya i got 5 470 off ebay cheap like 375 but some fans were broken. i could have probably made one or too work but w/e i zip tied cheap old 3pin fans too it. so i didn't have a base on temps vs the stock fans but it was quiet and still cool so

any receipt? I think I should go with RX 6000 maybe? They are low power consumption.
