64GB in my desktop, and I still hit the swap more often than not. I should be upgrading to 128gb by the end of this year, then wait until DDR5 platforms are mature enough to make another jump (5 or 6 years from now).

According to your sig, which PC do you have the 64GB in?  WOuldn't it make more sense to upgrade the CPU (if the sig is correct) vs going 128GB?

What am I missing?

I really want to upgrade to 16gb, but my processor isn't support it when above 8gb.

Not sure what CPU you have, but else it might be the motherboard instead or what DRR (2, 3, 4) ram it is using?

Unless its an old CPU.

I upgraded to a b550 + 3700x and forgot to update my sig haha

I wish I could've had more ram on my old fx6300 build, the only reason I upgraded the whole build was just to go past 32gb. I noticed almost no difference in my daily usage going from the 6300 to the current 3700x, other than compile times.

I have the entire Adobe package.  On my Ryzen 5 3600 I am limping it along with 16gb of RAM.

But I will be upgrading to Ryzen 9 5950x (but kinda holding off to see whats next) and it will have a minimum of 64gb of RAM.

The original editing machine we had a few years ago was Threadripper 2990WX with 256gb.  But now its a server or Id just use that.

I've got 32GB. 16GB would've been enough for me but I wanted dual rank DIMMs so that meant 2x16GB instead of 2x8GB. Also I'd been on 16GB since 2011 so it was nice to upgrade the amount of RAM too.

2 x 16gb @ 3600mhz as below - still cant get it stable when I OC to 3800mhz or when I knock the times down to 14 14 35 @ 3600mhz so still need to figure that out

32GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB

Made it 32GB total with 2 sets, but I'm not running it at the rated speeds, just below it. I think I need to update my BIOS or it's because I'm still on a Ryzen 2600.

32GB DDR4 3200MT/s (2x 16GB).

I see no one left at 4GB, that's not because they don't exist but they don't have the memory to have 1 tab in chrome open! 😂

2x8GB 16GB Corsair Vengance RGB Pro 3600MHz in my main rig and 3x4GB 12GB Corsair LPX 2666MHz in my current server rig.

Probably gonna get another vengeance kit next month if i survive 31 december new year drinking night with some friends.

Awkard(ly) enough i have 12GB DDR3 in my old Lenovo 430 thats one 4GB 1600MHz and one 8GB 1800MHz. (Yes i know, it downclocks to 1600MHz.)

Also has the worst combination on my oldest family rig, dont know what DDR type it is but its (i hope) DDR2.

1x1GB, 2x2GB and 1x4GB making 11GB, awful ram sticks but its the only ones i have, probably the reason it has its issues too haha.

edit: Probably gonna swap out the one 1x4GB DDR4 2666mhz stick from the server-rig and place 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance PRO 3000mhz sticks so i can run another server-process on it. They will be downclocked to 2666mhz but im sure they will survive that.
