Idk if anyone else managed to get any new tasks for NFS but all three of my machines finished their tasks and I've put my CPUs back to SiDock.

GPUs moved off Einstein and back to F@H - That was hardly useful given the 2000 tasks left pending validation due to all the bunkering going on.

Just FYI for everyone, everyone should be running NFS now as it's handing out work and we cannot be caught on SiDock so there isn't any point to running that one from now on.

My 5800x and 2 8th gen I5's are on NFS and crunching

OK - Moving 131 threads from SiDock to NFS. Just waiting 10 last SiDock tasks to finish.

 

crontabs modified to update the project every 15 minutes and submit completed tasks and fetch new ones.

 

I presume we'll move back to the Marathon for the last day

If nobody is close which I expect then probably just WCG/MIP and just accept the chance of overthrowing by a decent bit, it's also important we actually secure that Jav position that is ours for the taking.

 

With how close sprint is I may not be able to bunker any MIP at all which will make getting that 11.7m+ harder.

Yeah I woke up this morning to find all my PC's had a ton of WU's uploading. Thankfully this program downloaded way too many WU's so I can still crunch them while the server's down.

Everybody else probably had the same idea and NFS couldn't handle the load.

 

Congrats, we basically DDoS'd NFS out of commission.

Well, the BOINC manager seems to default to SiDock, apparently NFS uses too much RAM

You might have to change your preferences to allow the boinc-client to use more system memory. I believe the defaults are to only allow it to use 50% of the installed RAM. I had to update mine to 85% on a couple of systems to get all the threads running on NFS@home as some were stuck "Waiting for Memory"

 

There are preferences you can set at the NFS@home site as well to only select tasks with lower memory but most of the tasks available are for the larger memory requirements.
