I think I have found a new hobby. I just go onto Bandcamp and buy the whole discography from obscure Eastern European lables. 

There is a bunch of fucking grabage, but there are some really strange gems in between.

I am really particular about my folk metal. A lot of time it ends up being pretty cheesy.

That is not the case here. It sounds grand and atmospheric without losing it's folk sound.

 

It is quite a same that Denmark doesn't have a big folk metal tradition. The only semi-known band is Svartsot, and I only know about them becuase I'm an acquaintance of the flute player.

This one is pretty good, especially with the flute. I'll check out Svartsot's other songs too. :)
