3000 Series - Moore's Law is Dead

Mondale

I was watching a Youtube channel Moore's Law is Dead where he was saying that his "insider" with knowledge believes nvidia is going to be releasing a huge amount of 3000 series cards around the time AMD releases their Big Navi line. Does anyone know if this guy is a reliable source of information or just another person that thinks he knows things but is just speculating or just hopeful wishing?

It makes sense I wouldn't be surprised.  Too many would likely decide to jump ship to AMD once those cards come out if availability.  FYI he said they chips were shipped weeks ago to manufacturers.  Something that happened in the past isn't all that hard to predict or get information on...

Microcenter alone has already sold thousands the limited availability has been greatly exaggerated...  Yes its limited and the wrong people are getting them but its not non-existent.

I guess it depends on the area. All the BestBuys in the surrounding area i live in have not received any 3000 series cards and no local shops have gotten their hands on them either. The only place I've seen them is ebay.

Unfortunately most buying online are reselling on Ebay.  Its harder to get away with at MC because your limited to 1 and have to physically be there.

The issue is that the vast majority of people here are dumb and use kindergarten logic to justify their opinion.

Something along the lines of "nvidia is business! nvidia love money! nvidia want sell !"

Nvidia is so big that they don't care about money anymore. Do you really believe that all of those things they are developing and releasing are about money? This whole shortage thing is bullshit and fake. They pumped out a small amount of cards on purpose just to force AMDs hand because they wanted AMD to finally announce their shit.

Nvidia's goal is not to make sales but to reduce AMD's sales. Nvidia is more than happy to make no profit whatsoever for the entire year if it means that they can fuck over AMD and ruined their image and market share. This is why Nvidia pushed their 3070 release back and are now just waiting for AMD to play their cards. Once AMD has done this Nvidia will or better said Jensen will magically pull out a new line up of 3000 series cards that suddenly are all better than the equivalent AMD range and suddenly.. nobody will be interested in AMD anymore unless AMD undercuts by a large amount.

If Nvidia had gone full out then yeah they could have made a trillion in a day but by the time AMD comes around they'd have no stock and suddenly everyone is buying and cheering for AMD. Obviously this kind of thinking is too much for the average "company wantz moneeyz! !" fanboy.

Its is all about money but yes they would gladly give up profit a short amount of time if it means they can raise prices later.   The biggest issue AMD has is software features people will gladly give up a small amount of performance for better value.

well I guess you will have to wait and see. Most people in LTT forums don't really like people like moores law is dead or Adored tv so you are going to get a lot of people saying they know nothing and have no sources. Just wait and see if he's right or wrong and then make up your own opinion on if this guy is legit or not . Also if people say he has no sources correct me if i am wrong but i am pretty sure he started the Quadro a6000 leaks. He leaked a few pictures and then a week before it come out he leaked the full specs.
