What was your first Linus video?

adamaquarius

Mine was How to Build a Gaming PC Featuring Intel Extreme Edition NCIX Tech Tips in 2012.

I was considering building a computer for the first time and after watching many YouTube tutorials and feeling VERY confused, that was the one to convince me that it's not that difficult and I am capable of doing it! The computer I built worked perfectly for many years until I needed to upgrade it for something more powerful.

I dont remember mine specifically, it was quite a while ago but i remember he was looking at a  high core count zeon

and he was talking about the higher cache sizes, and i thought to myself what is this weird dude with earrings and spiky hair even talking about cause at the time i knew very little about computers

It was this one:

A friend of mine school was like 'hey, let's watch this video together' and I got kind of hooked on LTT's content. It was years later I finally bought my first PC though!

"We're all in this together, might as well be friends" Tom, Toonami.

I can't remember exactly, but I think it may have also been ^^

I think I got into LTT after building my first PC, and that was one of the videos I used for help

Anyone know of a way to check YouTube history to find this answer?

Edit:

Just going to History and searching for Linus doesn't yield results older than 2017.  At least for me.

If you're on youtube.com go to the right hand side of your screen, and click your channel, you should find this tab

Next, you go to the left hand side of your screen and click history

There you can search "linus" and find your video, not sure if it holds the earliest record, but that's how i found mine, although i only started watching earlier this year.

That's actually my favourite LTT video format: Show Linus a crappy PC component - Tell him the price they paid - "I SPENT THAT MUCH?!" - Rinse, repeat.

I "wish" they'd do more videos like that :D

it was this i believe. either this or the ddr2 vs 3, cant remember exactly. but clearly remember seeing this one & remembering video contents. was looking into seeing if you can directly plug a PC in & not damage the component.

Details separate people.

Oof... I have YouTube history and searches turned off, so...

Hm... 🤔

Ah. Do commercials count? The one they showed at The Game Awards 2019.

Definitely the first "video" from Linus for me, I saw it before I got into LTT.

Fuck me if I know. History disabled on youtube.

I've been on this forum since 2013 and watched Linus in the early days of his NCIX videos.

Considering my first NCIX order was in early 2009 and I was moderately active on their forum in 2010... Pretty sure I've seen some Linus vids during that time.

Also this website says I've been subbed to the LTT channel since December 22, 2011... But I'm pretty sure that's wrong because it says I subbed to like, 6 other channels that day as well, including his cat tips channel. Why the frick would I sub to a cat channel of a new channel I just followed... makes no sense.
