but blenders viewport only uses 1 card, it doesnt do SLI. or did things change that much from 2.78?

Compensator "wannabe" LOL

 

The thing with these RTX Quadro's is that you don't just buy one - you start with two and then scale up to four. And given their price, it's easy to see WHY a GPU heavy dual Xeon workstation can easily run you $40k on the low end and over $100,000 with a balls-to-the-wall setup loaded with RAM and U.2 drives.

 

You have to remember the nVLink feature is a key element not only linking the VRAM together but can divide the workload between multiple GPU's. Similarly,these workloads can multitask when 2 or more GPU's are in the system.

 

If you really want to see VRAM being pushed just fire up X-Plane in 4K with all the dials turned to 11. Gamers Nexus made the same mistake (smh) when they tested their Titan and couldn't make an argument for the high VRAM. Doesn't anybody at LMG flight sim???
