The Z is not a gaming card.....

It's 2  780 ti's in one card with extra VRAM, that's like saying a 690 or 7990 or 295X2 isn't a gaming card..... I'm not a fanboy eitherway  how is hating a dumb 3 grand card make you a fanboy? then again look at 1st  page howmany posts do you see against AMD Corsair Nvidia ect...

It is not the same thing as a 690 or the 7990/295x2. The titan cores have unlocked double precision, meaning in compute workloads a titan black will simply destroy a  780ti. Think of the z as a dual quadro card without the correct driver and limited memory. (it also has less double precision than a quadro, but they are closer than the GTX 700 series is). (just for reference, while I do not use AMD cards in general, I am not a fanboy to either.)

To the thread question though:

Probably something around the lines of quad Xeon e5/e7's with at least 12 cores each (should be 48 cores and 96 threads if my brain is working right), 384 or 512 GB of RAM would be about right, and a couple (2 or 3) W9100 or K6000 on a super Micro board would be about the craziest I would think of. In fact, that sounds like a system I would like to have (but will not buy.)

7990 and 295X2 are 2 different cards... And they use the same GPU GK110 iirc so if theres a difference it's only firmware or something else on the card but either way you'd assume using the SAME GPU as the current "Flagship gaming card"  and having 2 of them should make it gaming... but ohwell not like it's out yet and it's probably not even coming out Nvidia's probably panicking over the 295X2... Also nice touch saying "I don't use AMD but I'm not a fanboy" considering there the 2 graphics processor manufacturers that leaves you with NVidia and well I use both >.< and I was called a fanboy...

So to not be a fanboy towards a certain graphics chipset company you need to use Intel Integrated, got it.

and your point? my next upgrades gonna be Nvidia I'm debating 750Ti and 760 as a matter of a fact, CPU wise I'm thinking i5 3670k  I got my 4300 for like $20 from a friend with motherboard, Also Crimson Rig as I call it was built last christmas as my previous Rig broke and I was ina hurry which is why it's such a budget build...

Your viewpoint is dictated by your own lack of money, therefore only an opinion, though it does not make you a fanboy, you should mention 295x2 too.

if your speaking about my previous statement of it being a better card just look at spec of 295X2 and TITAN Z considering what's been released about TitanZ so far, iirc it theoretically/hypothetically by educated guess loses to 295X2 in everything BUT COST, it's double the cost. atleast the 780Ti beats the 290X bu a good 5% to make up the cost difference
