Mattsk

So you lose all updates and support and over time become more vulnerable to attacks?

You also didn't explain why you don't like Windows 10, perhaps there is a solution?

Well, Window 7 is end of life so you might as well use Windows XP since it's even more retro

Maybe find out what's causing the problem and fix it?

Your computer will be more than welcome to get a target for every hacker...

Also the Software isnt up to date at all and made for it

Windows 7 loses extended support January 14, 2020 so you won't be getting any security updates after that time. Totally fine if you're not going to connect to the internet, otherwise I'd strongly advise not using an unsupported OS or piece of software as it leaves you more vulnerable to attacks and exploits.

You said the SSD performance is bad and then go to say the SSD is bad. Well if the SSD is bad that is why your performance is bad and you don't even have anything to associate it to being a windows issue.

I'd stick to windows 10 bc windows 7 is probably gonna be more vulnerable to getting hacked.

Your SSD won't magically start to perform better if you install Windows 7.

What bloatware have you installed? Seriously, Windows 10 has much better scheduling and optimization for an SSD - if anything, Windows 7 will abuse the SSD more.

I'm sure this is a troll thread.

Windows 7 is EOL. Corporations are dumping it en-masse because they don't want to pay for the support costs.

Win7 doesn't support SSD's properly, doesn't support 7th generation or later Intel processors.

Just install Linux then if you consider "features" to be bloatware. While Win10 does have a few things in it that really shouldn't be there, like telemetry, it's helpful for MS to make the OS better (or at least that's what the claim...), not to mention most of it all can be disabled... and barely shows any difference in performances, proving that even if you left them alone, it wouldn't make a difference.

...So I use all versions of windows currently.

Yes Winxp boots in 1 second. and uses low amount of RAM. and everything is super fast.

Security???? I have only free versions of security...and have had no problems...though I am a consumer..and not a business.

Win7 is my DailyDriver....and I love it. I also have a program called Classic Shell.

Classic shell May be your answer for Win10 as well. http://www.classicshell.net

win10 is on som POS systems...and a tablet... and its slow as f-ck, constantly is trying to go online(Get a real Firewall)

....

Driver issues and boot support is fixed by Dual-booting Linux/Windows.(super easy.)

I saw on a recent ryzen 3600 build for my friend that Gigabyte had a utility for Win7 installation.

oh...and this might be fp exclusive still..but....if you set up a small microcomputer between your comp and the internet you can control its network...Its a vid from LTT

Oh, I'd love to hear you explain exactly what bloatware you have that affects an SSD's speed and how it manages to do that.

If you don't like the design, mod it or try Linux.
Don't go back to Windows 7. I'd even prefer Windows 8 over Windows 7.
