  5. I was saying after cloning the install.....that you would transfer with robocopy Windows Command the programs/games that you wanted onto another drive. Though IF you want fresh only windows.....why would you not just install a new windows. The whole reason to clone is not having to re-install anything or mess with any settings at all(saves me about a month in time....though others a week)....and giving you a perfect backup/double of your install.

  8. coolzz....also.......TRAINS!!!!!!!! ...also....I have to admit....if I had an extra HDD/SSD big enough...I was going to attempt to move a clone of Windows with the robocopy...and create a junction with mklink....and test it....supposedly the junction is at an extremely low level...so.....maybe could just move the OS/Windows??? I actually just realized that because I cloned my sisters 500gb into a 1tb...and i upgraded my storage from 2tb to 2x4tb(redundant = raid 1) I have a 500gb HDD with an OS and a blank 2tb HDD I will test this as soon as I have a day off from work.
  9. I would definitely check the physical NVME that you have to make sure you know the size compatible. and know the 'Key' https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GCL6BR4 https://www.adorama.com/ctmx5001tbm2.html?utm_source=rflaid912925 I personally do notice a difference with 500mb/s(sata) compared with 1500 or 3500(NVME)....but I am a Heavy Power User
  10. it really depends on the specific game......or program. I bought 16gb of RAM and 4+gb of VRAM years before they were recommended because they bottle necked my specific games/workload. I also have an 8 core, which i need for my multi-tasking.....while everyone was saying 4 core is fine.... I also leave my comp on for weeks/months on end...and thus boot times don't matter to me...However...my modded games that take 25 seconds on each load screen....taking that down to under 10 with a SSD for my gaming library...fixed that 'bottleneck' ...its a little hard to explain
  11. I was using it as an example....and most people actually don't understand bottlenecking at all....which is why Linus and co talk about it........if everyone knew...then they wouldn't of made the videos... the tech quickie has over 500k views...of Everyone....that didn't know.... and since op didn't know that the 8700k wouldn't bottleneck the 2060....then they I can guess...that they don't know...
  12. ?? Bottle-necking... is the concept of paying for performance/experience and having a section/part holding you back from the best experience that all of your hardware is truly capable of. Like having a 720p monitor with a 2080Ti or paying for a 500$+ video card...while using built-in monitor speakers. instead of headset/decent speakers you are wasting your money on enhancing the experience...in an extremely inefficient way. and that is lacking.... again...like buying a 1000 horsepower car......for Hawaii.......or putting 100$ tires on it.......
