was the last thing it did (next to uploading), and that was yesterday, no errors no nothing... It's my 1070 too.

Any way of fixing this less reinstall the app? My 640 is another 22 hours till completion as well so waiting for it wouldn't be a good idea.

I’ve encountered the unknown unknown issue. I had to reboot the system to get it back working

Absolutely, just configure the Folding Client with the same Folding@Home username, Team Number (223518) and Passkey and your done. Then you can configure remote access to one or both and watch the systems from one place.

Reboot. 155.247.166.220 is having issues. The other slot will resume at the last checkpoint so you’ll lose very little work from it compared to what you’ll gain from getting the other card working.

Not happening  My computer only reboots when it crashes (about every 120 to 240 days)

I've actually found a easier way next to waiting a decade for windows to reboot (it would do an update and mine is on a hdd a 7200rpm one but 10 hates hdds, than proceed to download the next update and bug about that).

Configure>Slots>"select problem GPU">Remove>Add>radio button for GPU>Ok

That removed the gpu from the list and recreated a new allocation for the gpu which made it look like a new gpu and automatically started downloading a new task.

Forever haunted with the 00 task however 

 

Edit: forgot to mention I'm formatting a 8TB drive that is only half way threw it's process

Well...looks like my V100's are either failing or incompatible with my hardware I have on hand.  2699v4 on SM x10-SRL = BSOD, 6800k on MSI x99a = BSOD...gonna take them to work and try on some newer cores see if there is something wonky going on.

 

Same x99a is working with a titanXP perfectly fine...so I have to believe the board and proc and memory are fine.

Did some googling last night on this as I'm sure you have also and possible causes were:

 

Bad Driver Install or Bad Hardware. As it appears to be more than one GPU having the issue it does seem to point to something else at play.

 

Have you tried rolling back to a driver from when they worked last reliably?

Here's KVM1. This is a relatively recent build that I'm going to use for testing Kernel Virtual Machines in Ubuntu, once I finish the Folding Month that is.

• Gigabyte b450m DS3H motherboard
• AMD Ryzen 7 2700 with the Wraith Prism from a 2700x
• 2 x 16GB Gskill RipJaws DD4-3200 CL16
• EVGA RTX 2070 XC Gaming
• Fractal Core 1100
• Corsair CXS650M
• Noctua NF-F12 iPPC2000 PWM as Front intake
• 92mm 3800rpm PWM as Rear exhaust
• 120x15mm Rosewill PWM as Side Exhaust
• Noctua NA-FC1 Fan Controller

When folding the front panel is detached from the chassis and placed off to the side as it restricts airflow too much even for the iPPC2000

This is my development box Fold1:

It's the jankiest system using a SuperMicro SC-731 Chassis with a REALLY loud 80mm front intake fan and a 92mm Noctua rear exhaust fan and a Noctua Fan Controller. The motherboard is an Acer ITX board from a E3400 with a Athlon II 64 running at 2.9GHz and 2 2GB DDR3-2133 and a SuperMicro 300W Bronze power supply feeding a EVGA GTX 1660Ti XC Ultra Gaming. Note that I had to use a dual Molex to 6-pin PCIe power adapter and even then that wasn't enough as EVGA being overly optimistic gave this card a 160W power limit so it has an 8-pin connector.

 

In production, however, this card never goes above about 125W. But, EVGA chose in their vBIOS to refuse to start the card if just a 6-pin is installed so a hack was required. I dissembled a Molex to 3-pin fan adapter and removed two of the Molex pins with the wires attached. After "smushing" the pins a bit I got good contact over the last two pins on the 8-pin on the card (The 2nd "Sense" line and Ground) and twisted the wires together and applied a bit of Electrical tape.

This fools the card into believing that an 8-pin power connector is installed and to prevent the card from drawing more than the cables can supply I set the power limit to 150W.

So I decided to turn the dials up to 11 a bit earlier than the start date....

 

(both 1070ti's are running at 2025, Bottom Zotac is the 67°C and the top EVGA FTW2 is the 68ºC)
