I can't wait to get my hands on one, or some, of these boards.. The effort put into X570 is just amazing, it really is.. I mean think about it, look what these companies are investing into Zen 2 and then try and tell me we're not about to get the best processors to ever hit the market for consumers.. (not necessarily talking about highest FPS).

MSI, Asrock, ASUS ALL are producing several high end boards.. Only real world reviews will give us an idea of how great Ryzen 3rd Gen will really be, but the investment it takes to make boards of this caliber, is serious, and not made without good reason..

Unless reviews are out before I can buy one, I'm not waiting and if the Asrock Aqua isn't released yet, I think Asus may be getting my money this time around (going inside my current build with a custom loop).. The Aorus Extreme is also extremely appealing, will match my build nicely with the all black, too.. This is honestly going to be a tough decision that will not be made easily like before(assuming VRMs are good on all of them)..

Which companies boards are you guys waiting for and/or looking to buy for yourself? Why?

Choices, choices..

I'm very interested in Asus ROG Strix X570-F or X570-E, personally. From what I researched while considering Zen+, X470-F was a great quality board that had good VRMs and a good BIOS, which I value a lot coming from a rather poor Gigabyte Z68 BIOS. Crosshair VIII Hero will be a consideration too, but I'd like to stay under $250 or so on a motherboard if I can help it.

Asrock Taichi tend to be really killer board quality, so I'll look there as well. Just not as sure about Asrock's BIOS.

GB’s bios has improved, a good bit better than ASRock, GB fan control software is much better than ASUS.

each has pro and con.

Aorus line up will use actual high end vapor chamber copper heatpipes on the chipset to ditch that ridiculous tiny fan all the others went with, that alone is a selling point.

I'm afraid to try Taichi.. I don't know why but I've had such good luck so far with Asus and Gigabyte that I just kind of already know what to expect (best performance).. I know Asrock is awesome, it's just how I feel I guess.. I almost want to consider the MEG ACE from MSI as it's very close to the design of the Godlike..

I'm sure those will be solid. I used the X470-F Strix and I liked it alot.. The X570 Strix looks like a very high end board so if prices are high on all of them I very well may consider one myself..

Asus Crosshair VIII Impact, because Asus better have a [profanity] good reason to make an mDTX board which is not compatible with a lot of mITX cases.

Asrock Taichi, because I want to see that gear spin and whether Asrock copy and pasted its underpinnings since X370 (already the case for X470)

board type I want to see but dont see any:

8 phases for CPU and 8 phases for SOC: because I'm sure Vega iGPU will get bigger and current Vega 11 is already overwhelming many SOC VRMs. 1050 will be a nice juicy target to go after, if memory OC gets good the 1650 could get sweaty

an actually good mATX board: because few people need more than two PCIe x16 slots

I hope they make some good ones this time around.. I considered one for my case (PC-O11), but they all currently suck, I have a radiator on the bottom and I cannot use my USB 3.0 port for my case with my Crosshair VII without an expansion card ?

If I go ATX this time I need the USB 3.0 header to be up near the 24 pin/Type C header.. Thankfully a lot of the new boards (that I like) looks to be designed that way..

Why do they have dual CPU connectors. Surely that's now necessary??? No way I'm upgrading psu

According to GN, most of the Aorus boards except the Xtreme have chipset fans.

I really like the Aorus Master, nice VRM heatsinks, Gigabyte's fan control app works well, and their x570 motherboards aren't too flashy with RGB stuff like Asus or MSI.

You wont need them in most cases.. Even the 9900K doesn't need them and it pulls more power than most of the new AMD chips will.. Assuming AMD doesn't start giving TDPs for an idle CPU like Intel does..

asus hinted at higher ram overclocks than other brands, waiting on reviews but if that's the case, and seeing that it's amd, they own this thing.

I’m leaning towards the aorus extreme but the godlike also has my attention. My problem is my heart says I wanna preorder and be rolling day one, but my head says wait for reviews because it’s a decent chunk of money. Time will tell I suppose

I'm in the same boat.. If my money is in order by time they're released, I'm buying.. I'm not pre-ordering anything, though..

I think all the high end boards will be just fine as a few of them already learned their lesson with previous gens.. And you would think with the negative press Asus got with Z390 that they won't repeat that again..

Any motherboard not at the top of its game this round has a lot to lose as things are about to get interesting.. Sales will probably be the highest they've ever been.. Negative press/reviews will make or break a brand going forward from here..

I honestly think we're about to see the best motherboards any of these manufacturers have ever produced at a consumer level before..

Man, this really is a great time to be in the market!

C8I is mini-DTX, which is ITX but an extra inch and half, so it doesn't fit in some cases (H200, node 202, SG13B, etc).

Perfect for smaller mATX cases such as Corsair 280x

I like the Phantom Gaming X's design a little more.. What do you think the differences are?

If pricing is insane and Asrock maintains their high end boards at lower prices than the competition, like X470 Taichi, they may be seeing my money this time around as well.. It's really going to depend on prices, for me..

It might actually fit in my RVZ-01.

Though not with the VEGA64 Nitro+ I have inside right now...

Regardless, I like it.
