Posted May 28, 2019 Dumb question. If I were to use a board like the Asus Crosshair VIII Formula without hooking it up to any kind of water loop, would that be bad for it? I want to go with this board and a custom loop. But the custom loop would come way later.
 Get the C8H, and use the money saved for a full sized waterblock, making runs much easier
 Makes sense.. @TempestCatto If there's a premium for this board over the C8H, which there most likely will be, I don't see a point in it (unless there's features we don't know about yet).. You already have to get a waterblock and monoblocks (full size) aren't THAT much more.. I wonder what price these boards are going to come in at?

Even more if these chips are great overclockers.. That's exactly what I'm thinking, I've been planning to do a new build once new hardware was announced, I was excited to see how competitive AMD is being with pricing of their CPU's compared to Intel but I have a feeling the MOBO's were going to make up the difference. Posted June 10, 2019 I'm going top of the line, Asus Crosshair VIII Formula. And getting pretty antsy about it in the meanwhile. Gigabyte is attractive, but I have no respect for a company that can't bother to hire one low-rent person to keep their [presently] asinine website up-to-date. So F them. Respectfully. Friends: If you went to Bateman School in 1963-64 and recognize me, please let me know. Gratuitous Comment: EVERY case should come with USB-C ports. It's time and past time. WELL past time.
