Out of the people I follow, they made either interesting posts and/or status updates in the past, or they are an active member of our LTT Conglomerate Star Citizen organisation. 

 

It has been ages since I have done anything with the follow function, though.

I only follow 1 person and he never posts at all lol, haven't used the follow feature yet and I have yet to really want to I guess. If Linus posted a lot or something I might follow him.

I follow 1 person - @LukeSavenije - every interaction Ive had with him, is pleasant.  Hes informed and posts daily.  Which ensures I get a few blips to check notifications more than usual, but what he has to say is usually worth reading.  Plus my kids love MLP's.
