Molex has made PSUs...

Link?

I've been in the industry for 25 years and have never seen a Molex brand PSU.

If I had the link to it still, why did I not link the psu?

What about the Molex 650W 12V ATX unit? I couldn't find it on either this or the legacy list.

This is a PSU you have? You can include pictures in your post on the forum if you are able to take a photo of the label on the PSU.

Whatever.  I know you're wrong.  There is no Molex brand PSU.

Molex has never made electronics.  They're a company that makes plastics, fiber optics, etc.

I think you have the name confused with another company.

Dell PSUs have been made by Delta, HiPro (Chicony), Flextronics and Acbel.

Greetings,

I was wondering where the Seasonic Core GC 500W 80PLUS PSU stands in the tier list.

Greetings,

Based on internal photos, it looks like a cut down Seasonic Focus.

Key difference being a lower quality fan (sleeve/rifle as opposed to FDB), no passive fan mode, 7 years warranty instead of 10, only a single CPU cable, only a single PCIe cable with two connectors, and of course non modular.

The issues with the Focus Plus involving the effects of over-current I assume are resolved in the Core series.

There are no professional reviews or tests, so we can only guess it's electrical and protection performance.

You can identify the protection IC from the photos?

Out of pure curiosity, you don't think that reading pros and cons is easy enough? Do you think that believing random persons opinions is easier? Or reading spec sheet?

what do you mean in spec sheet here?

and the problem is that pros and cons don't always say everything, an example would be here

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/evga-supernova-1000-g3-psu,4941-11.html

in it's conclusion there's nothing written about it literally dying in opp testing. the conclusion can be helpful, but it's not everything

if I'm honest, the best combination of looking for PSUs is asking, looking here and if you can read reviews, but even i can have problems with that sometimes

G1+, GQ, G2, P2, and T2 are all in the same tier.

CX is in the same tier as CXm.

Pure powers/SPE10 (all the Active Clamp) are in the same tier as G2/TXm/P2/T2 etc

You have the Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G RGB in tier A and B.

MWE Gold above CX.

Bunch of other crap I could list but am too lazy to.
