If it's on Youtube what's the problem? Are schools making you kids into fascists these days? Youtube is public domain.

Profiting off the work of others without authorization and not crediting them is the problem.

YouTube is NOT public domain, you need to learn the facts. Just because you can view something for free doesn't mean anyone can come along and take it for their own and sell the work without authorization and/or credit. That's not how this works.

Nope.

The youtube standard license definetely does not put videos in the public domain.

Sounds like you're a communist, anyone can benefit from another's work?

Sure, why not. Maybe God needs to start suing corporate America for all of the profit made off of his creations, such as Monsanto and their GMO crops. Or maybe the ancients need to be revived so they can sue Monsanto.

whether it is legal or not. I doubt Linus would care if another company is using his videos. And besides. when a third party uses your product. All that does is INCREASE YOUR recognition. at least as long as the third party does not claim that they did it, aka, plagiarism.

Also, I haven't read any documents so don't quote me on this. But this case would probably fall under fair use, anyways.

Actually, using someone's copyrighted content for commercial use without their consent is plagiarism unless in a fair use context.

Did you read the post I placed literally right after that one? Cuz if you didn't

on a side note, that image on the reddit post. I could of sworn the 2 inch wide strip of desk underneath the monitor was an arm. Unintentional illusion ftw.

Sorry, the quote system was being an idiot and wouldn't let me place anything.

On another note. That 2-inch wide strip on the reddit image looks so much like an arm. unintentional illusion ftw.
