Sound editing/processing. Get a free audio editing program and start learning a thing or two about it, read about sound engineering, manipulate some tunes for fun and practice, and depending on the possibilities of doing it for cheap, learn to play some instrument. Perhaps further down the road you can record yourself, edit it, add stuff, etc.

 

Basically, find out if you want to be a sound engineer

Cut down some cool trees and mill em up, let it dry for 6 months-2 years. Make some cool stuff and sell the extra.

Just get an outdoorsy job, those always fun. Then you wont need a hobby.

Buy a raspberry pi zero for $10 and and a $3 relay and learn how to turn things on & off, like a lamp or something from your phone. Good fun and useful.

 

Put a VM on your machine and load apache or some kind of web server. You could cut and paste fancy effects from https://codepen.io/ to jazz it up.

Parasyte is nice, but for a first shw i would probably steer him toward gurren lagann or soul eater. Maybe even Toradora. all of witch have decent dubbed versions if needed.

Say what now? Overacting is one of the core components that makes some animes great, especially if its one of those exaggerated comedies. To be fair, I grew up with the overacting in animes so to me, its just the norm.

Hey hey hey hear me out here . I watched the Hyperdimension Neptunia OVA, dubbed at that dammit. Mainly because I already played the games with the English voiced and HDN has good English voice actors imo but thats besides the point. But yeah some and I mean SOME very strongly, some dubs are rather good. But like, We dont need to argue about how to watch anime ffs

Also with dubbed IMO Toradora, and Gurren has decent voice acting in English and Japanese. As for Soul Eater i will not watch the Subbed, to me the English Voices are superior to the Japanese with all characters (except black star which both are equally bad)
