That's the problem here by naming Pentium a low end cpu with "Gold", this fools the consumer into thinking it's high-end. The naming also plays a physiological effect on peoples' mind on how they perceive that product. Pentium Gold vs Xeon Bronze. Many non techies, will go with the Pentium even thought Xeon is way superior. But the word Gold, further justified this purchase because it's more proud to say, My system has Pentium Gold cpu rather than My system has a Xeon Bronze cpu, and be embarrassed about it.

Turned out everyone had 32bit excel installed which can only utilize 2gb of ram. 

The default Office apps installer is 32 Bit.

 

You need to specify to have it install Office 64 Bit.

Which is kind of weird as I've got installers from the days of Windows XP which refuse to run on anything older. Even with KernelEX (which lets me run modern benchmarks on my good retro rigs).

I didn't think that it wasn't legit.

The letter just felt kind of like a "thank you for being a shill" response.
