hey guys where can i find the best of the best thermal compound 

running watercooling and need some better paste for my 4770K

 

no liquid metals please

It really doesn't make a difference as long as you're getting one from the good brands. Arctic, Noctua, CM etc... 

 

I personally use Arctic Silver 5, that's what's easiest to get here.

paste isnt worth the money

 

you can expect like 2°C less (does depend on paste youre using now)

As you can see, they are all in marginally close to eachother

The difference between the best and worst compound is LITERALLY about 2 degrees celsius. Just don't get compound from an unreliable brand is your only constraint.

If you want to make a real temperature improvement other than just getting a better cooler, delidding is the answer.

If you want to make a real temperature improvement other than just getting a better cooler, delidding is the answer.

I was looking at thermal paste for my cpu and I have a fx 6300 and hyper 212 evo. What would be the best thermal paste to use.

i5 4590 @ Stock, XFX R9 290!, HyperX Beast 4x8GB  @1600, 850 EVO 120gb, WD Caviar Blue 1TB, , Asrock H97m Pro 4 , Fractal Design Define R4, Windows 10

The one that it comes with is plenty good.

 

Don't waste money on different paste. 

 

AS5 is comparatively crappy now, so don't bother with that if you so choose to buy paste anyway.

Im using Artic Silver Mx-4. Its 10 bucks and I got it for 5. I had no problems with it.

MX-4 is a good performing paste, and its non-conductive. Don't spend a bunch of money into paste, you're cooling unit will become a issue before this paste does. It's also only $5.99 right now with promo code.
