Right now next to my laundry room, closest to power and a wall. Wish I had a closet or something to put it in because I still can hear it when its running.
 
 
The entire back door is vented and there are vents on the side. There is also a large fan in the case, but I only really need to turn that on when everything in the rack is running. The main server only really runs when I need it for testing

right now im using an old pc with 2 gb of ddr2 ram and an athlon 6000+ processor (3ghz dualcore)
i have6 tabs open atm and it is at 1.27gb i am also making a usb boot key...
also i was streaming 4 twitch streams at a time and my CPU maxed out not the ram...just a note...i dont think your parents will have much more than 2 tabs open...the one they are using and another that pops up for advertising...it depends on how much they know abt PCs tho...id get an ssd solely on just boot times alone lol...most annoying thing for me in the world...what OS are you using?

why do you need 8gb of memory? i think even 4gb is alot...for only web browsing

well it also depends on if you want one with a numberpad or without....also i believe the CM keyboards are made in the same factory with filco...meaning it should be good quality...

since you are using overkill rads id go with the overkill pumps too and maybe a dual loop! just for the WAW factor haha but the d5 pumps can push 16ft of head i believe and ive seen somewhere it is 50psi but idk if its true...but itll be enough!

Some people reported some throttleing on fx chips on first revision. Updating the bios resolved the issue. The board is very stable. The NB will be hot but that's very normal. It should not affect the OC performance. (It will have same temp every time). I'd just undervolt the motherboard NB AFTER you get a stable CPU OC.  Set LLC to regular so will not have surprises ike 1.3v in bios, 1.5 actual voltage(vcore). Also, for rock solid stability, disable turbo freq and don;t go past 1.5V on the CPU.

You should be fine with unmanaged.

4K resolutions take a lot of GDDR5 memory and the 3970x for driving all of the production. Yeah I dont want to go with Xeons cause their more sort of server processors and you cant overclock them.

No, no. you misunderstand. I mean 4K resolution content. Not cost. Yeah, this build is well over 4k. But, I think for good reason. 

if you are running memory on a dual channel board then get 2 16gb kits for dual channel...the timings may be different...but i think there is a feature (xmp) that automatically adjusts everything and since its corsair memory i think it should have that feature but i may be totally wrong!!!

well i wont use a 200mm rad because there isnt that many fans for them (use a 2x120 imo)
and if you mod the top you wont be able to use thicker style rads since the mosfet coolers may get in the way....
you can also mod a 200r to fit a 60mmthick 360 rad in the front and a 120mm rad in the back idk about the top...ttl did a vid on it :)

the intel chipset only supports a certain amount of sata ports therefore the mobo manufacture adds in another controller so they can offer more ports...i think for z77 its 2 sata 3 6gb/s and 4 sata 2 3gb/s

the hp touchsmarts are cool ones...but also why not just buy a nuc and mount it on the back of the monitor? you can customize alot more that way

well your build looks pretty high end...so i wont say to downgrade anything...but if i was building such an awesome system id put a 4770k in there...just because heh... but it may not make any sense to do so...but  why not? right xD just like the ram :D
also who knows ..they say games may tend to support 8 core cpus more...well the 4770k has "8 cores":

you dont need to buy a sata cable....your motherboard comes with some

well no cpus are designed to direct the heat to the centre therefore the tim will spread out as there will be the most pressure at the centre...also 100% should be fine...it may just evaporate quicker and well its harder to make heh
