The last number is the generation, that's why the current EYPCs all end with a 2 as they are the second generation.

Yeah this seems like a laptop that is not gonna last long. Razer laptops have always been very very hit or miss with their quality and this being their cheapest yet I don't see it last more than 2 years before it breaks.

More UI changes? Why not just leave it alone and work on getting dark mode consistent like adding it to task manager?
I'm not excited for more UI changes that weren't needed, and its too bad that MS are forcing UI changes such as taking away the Windows 7 control panel functions and forcing the crappy settings app where settings are all over and more confusing.

Every layer of complexity adds a layer of delay.  Chip speeds can help offset this, but only to a certain point.
The more object oriented, zero compile, library using, remote loading, etc that an app is, the worse it is for performance.  The more parallel, high bandwidth, converted, etc an IO device/port is, the worse it is for input delay.  The more layers of workarounds (such as most patches are) that are in place, the exponentially worse everything gets.  Input validation is insane these days, to account for security issues, and often didn't exist at all except in a text entry field or similar before.

Roughly when Moore's law took off with Ghz and quad core, each of those milestones yielded an extra layer of "let's make this the easy way, hardware performance is way more than we need" vs "let's make this performant with less overhead and less memory usage".  Then everybody did it and the whole system grinds to a halt fairly quickly with just a "few" things running, even on multi-core high clock speed systems with reasonable amounts of RAM.  Compilers today do a LOT of work to try and optimize what they compile…but it is still nowhere near as optimized and efficient as what most developers wrote in either assembly or C back when memory and clock speeds were scarce.

The AAA game development and publishing industry is a steaming pile of crap tbh.

The last thing i ever want to hear about is a liked franchise being published or otherwise developed and released by large AAA publisher/dev.

On the flip side, if i hear some AA Dev/publisher or indie team working on an old franchise that was well liked, I have hope and look forward to such releases.

Ofc theres exceptions to everything, and here is one.

if such a small AA or indie dev/publisher picks up a game, then announces its got Chinese company backing or otherwise intends to go F2P / mobile. That also spells disaster.

    Case in point. Torchlight 3.
While the dev made the better decision to change over to Single payment PC and console game, the foundation was built for a F2P ,almost mobile like game compatible with the Switch, and it shows. The game is shallow as fk, even for a ARPG, but demands AA prices.

I may have had a couple night caps or date nights dampened by those words myself. And although I do not find myself in a McDonalds drive in very often anymore, I think this is great.

If your computer is power cycling, make sure to reset its BIOS before doing anything else.

Remember to buy a good quality Power Supply! Your computer's entire health depends on it.

Buying the latest and greatest will not always give you the best value. Look for last gen and used CPUs/GPUs if you want the best bang for buck.

Remember to upgrade your monitor if you're going to buy a High-End GPU!

Don't forget to turn on XMP on the BIOS to run your RAM at its rated speed.

Make sure to run your AIO radiators above the CPU/GPU block for best performance and noise!

Be calm. And ALWAYS back up your data.

Do NOT buy a Hyper 212 EVO. Buy the updated 212 RGB Black Edition, or a more recent alternative from another company.

    Remember: gameplay is king.
