He paid taxes already He's not disputing paying duties The taxes collected are 20% (with a screenshot), so it's not Canadian sales taxes The link to the LTT store you posted talks about DUTIES, not taxes.
As the OP stated, you're confusing duties and taxes, they're not the same. You're not helping the situation, you're adding confusion to the discussion, and you're being dismissive.

Any new replies after this that will focus on duties and don't take the information the OP provided into account will be removed without notifications. If you can't help, or you're uninterested in helping, that's perfectly fine, simply don't reply and move on.

    Summary
Intel gets out of the flash SSD business, selling it to SK Hynix who will run it as a new subsidiary Solidigm. Optane is not included in this deal, and is retained by Intel.

    My thoughts
While they had some success with the 600p, which at the time provided great capacity/cost ratio, it does feel to me this is an area where to be most effective you need to go large or go home. Selling this off allows them to focus on other areas of business. Don't think it'll make much if any impact to the consumer/enthusiast space which remain served by other established brands.

Optane remains a question as to what Intel does with it. The last time I looked they didn't have a way to manufacture it any more, as they parted ways from Micron who later sold off the fab that was making it.

Even with me My first camera was mirrorless and it was tough to use a DSLR as such I stuck to mirrorless.
Also being able to see, your exposure in real time is so convenient and having a somewhat smaller package (body) is also nice. The ability to have better Hybirds as well have been a positive with Social media

I was starting out on a mirrorless initially, it was the Olympus Pen E-PM1; I later switched to a Nikon DSLR and it was a much better experience from the very start. I'm back on mirrorless again with a Canon R6, and it's better yet than the old Nikon DSLR.
I'd say it heavily depends on which DSLR you are switching to or from, and which mirrorless as well.

P.S.: Canon full frame mirrorless cameras aren't that different from DSLRs anyway. They're still equipped with a full range of features and physical controls, and they're still heavy and huge (especially compared to Sonys), the only thing missing is the mirror. Given that, it's a logical move for Canon to ditch DSLRs entirely since their own mirrorless cams fill the exact same niche.

So the icons For new members and rank are now covering members avatar almost completely on mobile. Imo that's not how things should be. I'll leave my distaste of showing rank with meaningless badge out of this and focus on how things are taking space instead. So this is how it looks now:

Considering there's so much empty space (my distaste about that covered here), why not make icons smaller and place them under the avatar? Username takes a row, user group takes another and posts/reputation takes third. Avatar only takes the top two of those rows, leaving space under it which would be equivalent to posts/rep counter.

Besides rank and new member badges, we could have Moderator, Admin, LMG etc. badges placed there too. With simple design (green M for moderators, orange L for LMG for example). That would make this enormous badge not taking space on mobile:

Actually, the temp icon there is about where I would like it to be.

Tamesh16 reacted to cj09beira in AMD anounces new Epyc cpus and new datacenter compute Card
Today, November 8th 2021, amd announced in a live-stream what their next generation data center products will look like.
Starting out with their newest server cpu code named Milan-X, which essentially is Milan with a truck load of cache added on top of it, 512MB worth (8*64MB), as they showed a few months ago it looks exactly like the old milan processors, keeping the same 64 core maximum, same socket etc, and current servers can support it with just a bios update.

Then on the graphics side they announced the MI250x and MI250, a dual die, octa channel HBM 2e, with 3.2TB/s of memory bandwidth, 128GB of vram, and 220 Compute units based on tsmc's 6nm node with a monster tdp to match of 560W.

then by the end they also gave us a sneak peak into what's next, confirming MLID's leak to a teeth, with zen 4 having 2 versions, one code named GENOA with up to 96 cores, and another code named BERGAMO with up to 128 Cores, the latter optimized for density and less so general compute both will be made on tsmc's 5nm and launch around late 2022, and interestingly its already sampling to customers, (Bergamo to come later in 2023).
along the expected specs like DDR5, PCIe 5.0, is a very important one CXL

    My thoughts
I love too see packaging tech continue to be pushed by amd, a small detail of the cdna 2 announcement is that its actually using embedded silicon interposers to connect the gpus to the hbm stacks, and to connect the two gpu dies, this means that hbm will now become much more flexible as one no longer needs to have a silicon interposer the size of the entire substrate, added to the fact that hbm 3 is near its prime time things are looking good for the standard, can't wait for all this tech to trickle down to us mortals.
Just noticed they also announced CXL support with zen 4 epyc, so we might be close to getting a more efficient use of the pcie lanes our cpus have as well as finally a interconnect where optane can thrive.
