  1. Welp, I walked into my local GameStop, which online said they didn't have any Switches, OLED or normal. Showed up and was like " I know you don't have any Switch OLED, but..." The lady said she did have some in stock. I said "Yeah, I know you don't have any" and kept trying to ramble my question. Then she repeated she DID have it! So bought on spot! Got a case and screen protector combo, and opted for a non-Pro controller simply because wasn't expecting to drop all that cash today on system and games. Will see how it does over time.
  2. I'm playing FC5 and am nearing the end. Then in reading about FC6, I saw it had multiple endings "like 5." So I peeked and read about 5's endings. Now I have no motivation to finish...
  3. Oh man, those shakes were awesome. And yeah, Chick-Fil-A has nothing on Zaxby's. But they DO have frosted coffees that are great, so I go there when I need a shake-type fix.
  4. Seems like a lot of work for no real world practicality. Can you do it? Sure. Should 99.9% of the population bother? Nope.
  5. An issue is if every person starts with a different system. Someone using a 2008 system may have a hard time finding parts, and sometimes legacy stuff costs more. Compared to someone using a 2015 system who can find more parts to work with. But if you can solve the starting equipment issue (maybe dictate a cap on money spent on original system and give a year range for manufactured?), I would think you run original system. Then upgrade and run the benchmark again. What is the percentage improvement? That's your first variable. Then take the total amount spent on upgrade
  6. My monitor allows for frame interpolation, but other features have to be disabled to run it. The other features are generally better for gaming, so it doesn't get used.
  7. Yeah, may have to risk used market. Or maybe there are refurbished units to look into?
  8. Interlaced means refreshing every other horizontal row. That's what the old CRT TVs were, and some early bad LCD TVs. I have an LG TV that does 720p (progressive scan, the entire image) OR 1080i (better resolution but interlaced). The 720p looks smoother for gaming, but for watching TV the interlaced is fine. Changing every other line will not give you a magic fix to get the feeling of 120Hz. Sorry.
  9. It seems like an odd fix you found, but hey, if it's working, you don't have to keep tinkering. Just not sure if you'll experience further issues in the future.
  10. In this market, it'll be whichever you can get your hands on. The difference should be pretty minimal, and MSRP won't happen anyway so it's what you're willing to spend to get either.
  11. In most games, my 12GB AMD doesn't come close to using all its memory. Applications may be different, but total RAM shouldn't be the primary decision factor. Line up your other needed features, and then if a tiebreaker is RAM size, use that.
  12. Is warranty service being bad specifically for their GPU and mobo? I got an ROG monitor that is great, and the one before that was an Asus too. But then I haven't had to deal with defects and testing their warranties...
  13. With the GPU market so bad/expensive right now, I just don't know how one can risk blowing it on a game. Wait for fixes to be safe.
  14. A lactose intolerance would definitely ruin Culver's for you. I find them a step up from the super fast places like McDonald's. And their Concrete Mixers are better than Dairy Queen Blizzards in my opinion. Used to live 2 minutes away from one, and now the nearest is 35 minutes away.
  15. NewEgg used to be good, did all my PC part shopping there. And then I started a new build after 5 years, and it's been nothing but trouble. Sent me the wrong item, then by time they processed return they were out of what I wanted. An item was DOA so they sent a replacement that got lost in shipping (or never sent, tracking never got past label created). So I asked for refund and it took 6 weeks. Finally got the reason why there was a hiccup: because the refund was on a replacement item, their system had my refund at $0 because it didn't actually buy it. So had to go through extra h
