Titanfall 2

Tamesh16

I played Titanfall 2 for the first time and I got to say, it was just okay...

I know Luke thinks the story is really good, and I would have said that a while ago but after playing 'Detroit Become Human' that has been the top for me.

I really expected the titans to be a bit more intuitive to handle, but I think that is just a preference for me.

The story started off very cliche but got better, but I still never connected to anything that was going on really.

I played the whole game between 2 days for reference, also I was an avid Apex Legends player and loved the controls in that game.

Has any one else played, how did you find it ?

I did enjoy the time warp, that was a really cool mechanic, but I think the main draw back was the Titan. I never enjoyed using the Titan, in any load out.

I usually don't like mech type games, but I'd found the controls on the Titans to be quite easy to learn and found the entire game to be quite enjoyable. Was hoping for Titanfall 3 (with SP Campaign of course) but so far, no such luck.

Time jump was unique. Story was fine but short, I like single player campaigns more than multiplayer madness.

Mech time was okay, only a few loadouts I liked. But I prefer MechWarrior type mechs than this version. Call me old fashioned, but I grew up on the joystick version of Mech games.

  • 2 weeks later...

I think the biggest thing Titanfall ever really did well was the MOVEMENT by far. I can describe the levels of fun as you learn to traverse maps in seconds as nothing less then legendary. Gun skill takes a back seat to movement and that isn't a bad thing in this case.

Titanfall 2 really surprised me, I knew nothing about it going in, saw it on Origin and thought "fuck it, lets see what this is about", and thought the SP was really great. Short, but polished, with perfect movement mechanics, pretty awesome graphics considering it's the Source Engine, and "Cause and Effect" was a pleasant surprise.

Multiplayer I've got about 100hrs logged in and is even better, especially the PvP modes without titans.

9/10 would recommend.
