KaitouX got a reaction from Xiee in Need help deciding whether to get a GTX 1070 vs RX580
Neither, ~25% performance increase for the cost is way too little, unless you can sell the 1060 and get the 1070 within less than $50 from the sell price it isn't really worth the trouble.
The 580 is just a sidegrade so that's also not worth.

KaitouX got a reaction from CyanideInsanity in Gamefreak lies about not reusing models in pokemon sword and shield (spoilers)
The issue isn't that the models are from the 3DS games, the issue is that they said that they had to redo all models making adding all pokemons too hard, but the models are from the 3DS making their excuse look pretty bad.
I don't think this models from the 3DS would even be an issue if Gamefreak didn't say that they had to remake the models implying that it was causing the reduction in the number of pokemon.

KaitouX got a reaction from BTGbullseye in Is the RX 580 still a good card to get?
Even if it was used for years at 100%(which I doubt), as long it still works 60EUR for it would be a amazing deal anyway. Pretty sure I've seen people selling broken rx580 for the same price.

You don't have to buy a new motherboard all you have to do is update the BIOS on your current motherboard.

The single core performance gap between Zen and Zen + is in no way significant enough to spend any money on it.

You should save up for the Zen 2 R5 3600.

KaitouX got a reaction from Humbug in Navi 21/23 Cards Rumored (aka "Nvidia Killers" xD)
I also think that AMD kinda have given up getting more market share by undercutting the maximum they can, AMD could probably sell the Navi cards for quite less than these current prices. I really doubt that the 5700 costs the same to make as the 2060 yet it costs the same, and the price of the 2060 was probably already higher than what Nvidia could sell it for too.
AMD is probably really happy with the margins that Nvidia allowed them to take, and Nvidia is probably satisfied with their current margins so no one is trying to change, at least that's what it looks like to me.

KaitouX got a reaction from Stormseeker9 in Is this a good build? Any issues?
The case can be a shoe box if you want, just get what you think looks nice and have the features you want if you think that $90 on a case is too much. As long the case doesn't have shit air flow any $40 case works well, but might be a pain to build in.
Because that PSU isn't reliable, it is shit and no one should buy it. You should go with the RMx or equivalent in a build costing over $1000.

Most B450/x470 boards need to be updated before using Ryzen 3000 CPUs, some are extremely easy to update with just a pendrive with the bios and a button press, others need a compatible CPU to be updated, the Tomahawk and equivalents from MSI have the easy way to update, that is one of the reasons they are recommended + their boards are good in general.
I agree with changing the @Stormseeker9 build to a 3700x if possible.

The 1080Ti is faster in Fortnite so if that is your focus go for it, just make sure it is actually working and if possible still on warranty.

Better motherboard, better psu. This GPU will do fine for 1440p gaming. You can opt for a better cooler too within your budget if you want

I personally hate how on phones you have to pick and choose what basic features you want even at the high-end, and the manufactures are taking away features without even adding anything while often increasing prices.

KaitouX got a reaction from Mr.Dingle in Was RTX a big scam? – Performance & image quality analysis
If it worked like that the 1060 would have costed $600, or the 970 would have been $700 which in this case would cause the 1060 to be over $1000, luckily it doesn't work like that, otherwise prices would double every generation.
Also if you consider what you are saying, the 2000 series is barely better than the 3 year old 1000 series while costing the same without any significant improvement on efficiency or noise level which then comes back to how useless the main features of the 2000 series are.

KaitouX got a reaction from Derkoli in can you suggested me one true 5.1 system with a receiver and other features or one that just has 5.1 speakers and basic surround sound decoding?
If you're using a common desk setup it might be better to get a good quality active stereo speakers(Edifier R1280T are a popular cheaper option, while something like Audioengine A5+ are popular at a higher price point.) and maybe a subwoofer, or headphones. Because without proper speaker positioning 5.1 probably isn't going to sound that good, and good speaker positioning for a 5.1 system in a desk setup is borderline impossible because of how close you are to the monitor/TV. Logitech speakers are usually pretty bad audio quality wise btw.
