SnypeUXD got a reaction from johnukguy in is there a way to re use windows 7 oem on a diffrent motherboard?
You can just call microsoft and they'll give you an "Official Key" just explain you are changing out parts from an OEM machine.

Would definitely go with the Gigabyte here. That extra capacity on the battery can go a long way. The Gigabyte just seems to be better overall, in terms of just plain features and specs.

SnypeUXD got a reaction from Arhke in On the prowl for some new ''portable'' Headphones (On-Ear)
Since you're looking at the Momentum On-Ear I would suggest looking at the V-Moda M-80s/XS. The XS is the newer version that folds up, that's the only difference between the two. Personally I own the M-80s, and when I tried the Momentum On-Ears I found them very underwhelming IMO. That may just be because of my taste in music favouring Rock more than anything, but I guarantee the build quality and durability of the V-Modas far outstrip the Sennheisers.

SnypeUXD reacted to Victorious Secret in Nvidia re-blocked Overclocking silently in the latest drivers for the 900M series graphics card
I'll say the same thing I said before - laptops (all those except chunky bastards with MXM slots) have very tight tolerances for heat and thermal throttling. OC'ing a gPU in such constrained environments is asking for trouble.

You break it, you send it back to the OEM, they go and complain to Nvidia that their chips failed. It a lose lose for everyone.

I overclocked my mobile chip before. I also stopped. If I OC a GPU on my desktop and I break it, no big deal. I get it replaced and my system isn't ruined.

I break a soldered on chip that needs basically a brand new motherboard? That truly leaves me without my hardware? Yea, some people might think its worth a couple of FPS but I don't, so I don't get upset when I can't do it. All the power to Nvidia (and AMD) for not allowing these, they have very good reasons.

SnypeUXD reacted to Xorbot in The new MacBook performs better with Windows 10
I just love how my latest MBA has keyboard lag.  No, I did not make a typo.  I wrote "keyboard".  What i mean is that I'll type on the keyboard and i will get a massive lag at times, and then 10 characters will blurt on the screen at once.

Or how about Xcode with the warnings list.  No, I don't typically write code with warnings, but due to different compilers and warning levels, a lot of open-source software such as zlib, libpng, etc. will yield harmless warnings.  After about 30 (not 10,000, i mean just 30), the list will lag and stutter until I can reach the bottom and read the real compiler errors.  In case you are wondering, I must use a Mac for iOS development as a contract programmer.

So yea, as you make the post "Windows 10" is better, I will believe it because nothing can run worse than what I experience with OS X.  I don't even care that a MBA has a weaker processor, but come on... it's not like it is a processor from 2003.  It is an Intel i5 within the past couple of years.  Keyboard lag-outs?  A mobile Core i5 is NOT that terrible.  It is clearly the terrible OS.

The article was even better though: "The schools said the games could increase "early sexualised behaviours" and could even leave children open to sexual exploitation. " ...Call of Duty?

Neither are amazing even for the price.

ATH-M50X's will have more bass and a smaller soundstage (instruments, sound effects will sound closer to you, bad for gaming)

I'd go with the AD700X's. they have a more open soundstage and overall better sound quality. Plus they have less bass which will be good for first person shooters as footsteps will be easier to pinpoint.

the M50X's might be better for some types of music, but AD700X's are overall better IMHO.

Those are some crazy overpriced 970s they used in that benchmark. You can get a 970 for $330, so two would only cost $660, the same price as the cheapest 295x2.

The 295x2 IS A DUAL GPU CARD
This does not eliminate any issues at all. It is still crossfire.
