The device I'm going to use is the note 3, mainly for music. My budget is around 100usd. Less is better.

I think all Razer Headphones/sets have that problem.

I once had one of these, now I've got this.

over ear = M40x

Idk if you are open to earbuds, but there are these "Urban ears" from Hama which are basically like beats, pricing whise, but do have a pretty flat sound pattern with slightly tending to the bass heavy side, while still providing excellent highs. They cost 30€, are built extremely well and look great.

earphone? which one, earbuds or in-ear (IEM)?
For $100, find Zero Audio Carbo Tenore / Basso, ATH-IM50. I prefer Tenore because bass quality > bass quantity. And it has smooth treble. Don't forget to buy Sony Hybrid tips for better isolation and more comfortable

Currently I have vsonic VSD3S, this IEM have nice sound quality too
Worth to mention: Havi B3 Pro1, Ostry KC06A
If you need mic, buy beyerdynamic MXP series, or save money for RHA MA750i
I don't know good earbuds
ATH-M40x is an headphone

If cheaper really is better, NuForce NE-600X is a great option. I've had more expensive stuff and like my 600X the best so far.

"Earphones" isn't really a thing, so you'll just have to forgive those who tried to help without nitpicking about your word selection.

My advice is the hifiman re 400 for a flat balanced sound they are made out out aluminum and are quite small. But for a a bit of a bass boost you can have the shure se 215 or for 125 dollars an RHA 750 they are made out of stainless steel. if you want to go cheaper the klipsch image s4ii is good sounding iem but its durability is very questionable
