Morgan MLGman reacted to LAwLz in Fitness Watch (for indoors) - Fitbit charge 4 released
That's still 33% more expensive, and in Sweden the Apple watch is actually 47% more expensive.
Not insignificant sums of money. Also, since the Apple watch series 3 only work with iPhones it's not an option for Android users (the majority of people).

So I think there is more than enough room for both the Fitbit Charge 4 and the Apple Watch series 3 on the market.

Got the card, installed it, ran GTA V and was able to view textures and scenery that, now in comparison, used to seem quite dull. It's like opening your eyes for the first time after getting surgery to help you see things that were there before but just couldn't appreciate.

The fans did get a bit audible after a while of use. I expected that but hardly noticed while wearing my Corsair HS50's. Temps are good in the GPU and CPU, and the graphics are, in a word, awesome. Replacing the PSU was a great call made by @Morgan MLGman as the one I had in the system didn't have the extra PCI-E pins required by the GPU while the Thermaltake I had in my previous build did, so props there.

My current monitor isn't doing the new card justice, so I've ordered an LG UltraGear 27" that is arriving tomorrow. To anyone considering getting the 2070 Super, or better, I highly recommend it.

if you're not getting the performance you want in those titles from the hardware you have right now, i'm affraid you're looking at a new computer all togheter because the CPU and GPU are on the same performance tier...so if you upgrade one and not the other you won't get the performance increase you are looking for, for your money.

so...R5 3600 and RX 5700 XT or 2070 Super, or stay where you're at and save money for a new computer/major upgrades.

After a full day or research and hunting the best value, the winner is the Zotac RTX 2070 Super. The order's been placed and should be arriving the day after tomorrow. Price-wise I was able to find one at the same price as retail in the U.S., cheaper if you consider I don't have to pay shipping.

Once I swap out the PSU with the previous build's Thermaltake PSU, it'll have enough power to run nearly any game at maximum at 1080p (checked at PCPartPicker and the recommended PSU wattage for the card straight from the nVidia website and the Zotac website).

Thanks to all who gave their two cents on the matter, the decision to go with the Zotac 2070S vs another like the RX 5700 or 2060S was the price, the difference between prices down here for one and the other was pretty much within the range where it'd be dumb not to go for the 2070S.

Morgan MLGman reacted to Jurrunio in rx580 to 1080ti. Have to take side panel off for good temps... Can I do anything else?
If you have multiple fans in the front, see if you can take the front panel off and leave the side panel on. That should tell you how much a mesh front change will help (though it wont be as good since mesh is still some obstruction)

Oh I had the same case and the same issue. The problem is that you have a 240/280mm AIO in the front which is blocking the air intake.
    It's a Phanteks P400/P400S.

To resolve the issue in a fairly cheap way, just buy the front mesh panel from a P400A. It's compatible (if you can find it somewhere): https://www.phanteksusa.com/products/phanteks-eclipse-p400a-air-mesh-front-panel?variant=30590989238327

FX-8350 once OC'd can handle something like a GTX 970 in triple-A games (which is around 3GB 1060 in terms of performance), so with a 1050Ti there should be pretty much no problem in any scenario.

I want to remind you that in threads such as this you should recommend something that OP actually needs, in the original post there is clearly stated:
That pretty much means unless the MBP has some outstanding features (it doesn't), or has a lower price (it also doesn't), the best recommendation would be something around the XPS. Doesn't necessarily have to be a Dell, but there are other options. There are pros to an MBP in some cases, but I don't think it's in this one.

I think it's like that in the majority of forums, especially big ones like LTT.

If you don't want to spend too much, you can grab a used i7-6700K or i7-7700K and it will suffice for a bit more, but that's not a significant upgrade.

The Ryzen 7 3700X is a better buy than the 3800X, and also - the 3700X is a lot faster than the 6600K. It has higher singlethreaded performance and a vastly superior multithreaded one (over three times better).

Morgan MLGman got a reaction from TechyBen in Chinese X86 CPU on it's way - The Zhaoxin’s KaiXian KX-6780A
Yeah, the problem with the CPU is that it's neither fast, nor efficient so to be a VIAble (get it?) part, it needs to be very cheap honestly...

8 cores at 70W TDP (the CPU-Z screenshot also showed 2.7GHz core speed but it may not be peak frequency) with the multithreaded performance of a (probably locked) Skylake 4C/4T Core i5 and 70W TDP... Ryzen 5 1600, the new 12nm 'AF' revision, costs like 85$ on Amazon, has lower TDP and better performance... Can't see a bright future for this particular chip, especially that it's on a BGA socket.

This is excellent news! And will hopefully spur continued innovation.

This is also amazing news, hopefully they will have more cash on hand now to address their GPU division...

I mean this stuff speaks for itself, well done AMD.

This is a win for everyone, as hopefully this puts ever more clout behind their Ryzen and Epyc division to keep the competition fueled.

Morgan MLGman got a reaction from Bombastinator in Will an Aorus B450 AORUS ELITE work with 3700X out of the box?
Most of the boards nowadays are already shipping with newer BIOSes that support the 3rd gen since it's been out for months now.

That said, the B450 Aorus Elite isn't a particularly good choice due to its fairly poor power-delivery system, best I'd use it with would be a 6-core R5 chip.
I could recommend something decent but I'd need to know your budget.

I don't think Im supposed to talk about when Ive been talked to by Mods but I can say that when I have had a bad day, even Linus himself just told me to stop it (in a post so its public so I think I can talk about it) as Ive broken community standards.  Ive always been handled correctly for those bad days so in reality this mod team is quite good in separating out who is being a moron and who is passionate about something.

I will never forget the day I shitposted @KarathKasun for hours about dual channel and quad channel before I had a true inkling of what that meant (I assumed much, knew very very little) but in the end I learned a ton and the mods let it go (I believe they saw me building up a lightbulb of understanding above my head and they wanted to see me grow in knowledge lol)

I owe you an apology for that btw @KarathKasun so here it is publicly - Im sorry I was an idiot over a year ago, and glad you continued to correct me because in the end (I didn't admit it in the thread) I came out with so much more knowledge.
