Windows updates, agreed. In one of Jayz2Cents' WAN show apperances, he talked about how windows updates can mess with benchmarks in pretty significant ways. Check if your updates are running while gaming. Gotta love microsoft am I right

Agreed, wait for the AMD chips to drop. Pricing get changed when new stuff comes in, and you could possibly afford a higher end CPU if you wait till Ryzen 3000 shows up. After it drops, compare benchmarks for what's in your budget, and then pick the better option. Hope that helped.

It is normal for 60 Hz monitors to support 75 Hz at lower resolutions, since 75 Hz was the standard back when those resolutions were used.

Its a data thing, the display can handle the lower res at 75 but it cant run full 1080p at 75hz.

You can try powerline. Better transfer/performance than wifi. 
 

My experience with these Is quite limited, but It wasn't good. They would Bluescreen, Freeze. Etc. Wouldn't recommend staying with 5400 rpm. 7200 FTW

I mean sure, at 700mb you'll need somewhere around 90 CDs (or 15 DVDs) but theoretically it will work however your gonna have to sit there and remember where you were up to on a good by file basis for every folder contained in the game.

What do you mean by similar keyboard type? If you mean a mechanical one, go for a corsair k65. My personal pick for a cheap, ergonomic mechanical keyboard.

Yes.
It's just not as fast as on an SSD, which for most games is not noticeable (fo example in multiplayer games you are limited to the slow speed of your opponents and teammates) and for many programs it's only a couple seconds difference.

I am guessing he is trying to run off some ancient board that doesn't support that CPU. Ask him what board he is using, if he is using an incompatible board, tell him to shove it up his arse.

Hello there! This is a question that I and my friends have been arguing about for months. My argument is that running FPS any higher than the monitor refresh rate DOESN'T help since the display won't even be able to output the extra frames. The argument of my friends is that the extra frames will change the frame output intervals, which makes the game look better. Please give a final answer with reasoning. Thanks for your time.
