What is this connector and why can't I unplug it?

rendeRX

There are typically tabs on connectors, sometimes they can be annoying to unhook. Try using a small pair of tweezers to pinch in or pull up the edge/edges of the connector and see if that works.

I've once just pulled both the connector and the tab out lol. Because it was hard to unhook and pull out. It was held on by a 4 pin connector.

That reminds me of when I was about 10 and I literally pulled the CPU out of the socket (with the lockdown bar still engaged) while removing the cooler and bent every. single. pin. Good times.

On some cheap AM2 boards when pulling out the cooler the CPU was stuck to the cooler. They came out with ease.... I did the whole spin the cooler then pulled it out and the fucker still came out with it... system still worked though.
