Yes. Don't do it. Save up your money and buy it yourself, rather than effectively stealing it from your dad. 

Do you specifically need more than 3 drives? It'll hold 4 drives, not two. If 4 drives isn't enough capacity - you need a NAS or a media Server.

Go with the Tri-X or the Twin-Frozr. The others have crappy cooling solutions.
In the case of ASUS, they recycled the GTX 780 DCU2 cooler, which doesn't make contact properly and so temperatures soar to 90 degrees with it. Asus dropped the ball on that one.

It never specifies if the same cable is being reused and you don't simply replace a port. I guess it's implying onboard video on the motherboard..but adding a cheap video card is more cost effective than changing the board out right in case the onboard video is hosed. Man, I believe my real world thinking makes a lot more sense than some predefined multiple choice answers.

CompTIA A+ and Network+ and depending on the Job, some of the MSCE qualifications are useful too. If you're going down the Networking route, then the CCNA and CCNP are a must have for working with any CISCO equipment. For a higher paid job you'll really want to have a CCIE qualification - it's hard to pass, but worth it.
 
After that it's really prior work experience that gets you the big salary.

For plastic, I really like to use Vinyl dye - I used it to dye the thermal armour on my Z77 Sabertooth white. For metal, just the standard primers and paints should work as long as the surface has been prepared properly.

Really depends on what job your looking for in the IT field. 
 
As usual CompTIA A+ cert is almost always a must. A networking cert will come in handly more times than not too. 

If it has to be Nvidia, get a single 780 Ti. (Although I'd rather have two GTX 780's) 
 
I'd recommend a 290X for 1440p though, they perform better at higher resolutions.

I deliberately ignore it because of the price premium it commands. It's rather steep. It's better spent on other things imo, especially if the rig is built from the ground up.
