ckit reacted to Djuntas in Good cheap wireless mouse?
Had the 305 for a while now. A bit heavy mouse, but works very well (Logitechs software is also fine), even from far away from the dongle, great tracking and seems like good enough build quality 🙂 Cheers.

Yeah Yeah its understandable. The market can be very different between countries or even states, and it can be hard for other people to know how the market looks.
It seems like the G305 still uses their "hero" sensor, so battery life should still be pretty good compared to other wireless mice. It got all the functions every other Logitech wireless mouse has, except for Bluetooth. But I've personally never used Bluetooth, as it HAS some latency compared to their lightspeed USB, so you are not missing out on something.
The G305 overall just looks like every other wireless logitech mouse except the shape and of course, price.
Id say go for it!

Thanks. Sadly in my country they are a little to costly, but they do seem nice. Just to bad almost none of logitech mouse has free scroll 😞 its really awesome for browsing and some games.
Maybe the Logitech G305 Lightspeed? Abit cheaper, but still modern.

ckit reacted to Beef Boss in Ducky keyboards
Hello all, I'm kind of looking into a decent keyboard. I'm using a coolermaster MS110 I believe. And while it's very nice I saw this frozen Llama keyboard I kind of fell in love with. I like the colors a lot. Are ducky keyboards nice quality and would it be worth pre-ordering?

It is not called a Service Pack, I am calling it a Service Pack to give the reader a connection on the type of update that it will be.

I take it you haven't tried any decent quality, high end mechanical keyboards? Thinking Model F, Alps SKCM/SKCL boards, or even any high end MX style switch keyboards (from Rama, Zeal etc)

OMG, sorry have just realised my mistake... I actually use DVDfab and have had it for a number of years now, I get all the updates too for free. It shows how often I use this software when I couldn't even remember it's name, lol

ckit reacted to rentaspoon in Anybody used the Cougar 500m/300m?
Hey peeps,
I'm looking at upgrading my mouse and don't really have much in cash to spend as it's a late birthday pressie from my wife.
Currently the 300m and 500m both have good reviews, they are right handed which is good as other shaped usually end up being uncomfortable, I'm more of a palm than a claw grip user.
Has anyone used them? Cougar are fairly new to me and I've seen mixed reviews about other products of theirs.
I'm not particularly looking for the best mouse in the world, as I'm not into the fast pace FPS.

Haha, I'm not trying to be a hipster
Was hoping someone had use them tho, thanks for the recommendations as well
Also apologies if I came across as a jerk, wasn't my intent.
Edit: Turns out that where I shop now don't do free shipping and want £10 for delivery so i'll keep looking

Unfortunately there's not a lot to be had at lower price points. If you liked the Deathadder then maybe something like this? Etekcity isn't terrible http://www.amazon.com/Etekcity%C2%AE-Optical-Programmable-Buttons-Switches/dp/B00F3L19KQ/ref=sr_1_13?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1427307328&sr=1-13&keywords=gaming+mouse

ckit reacted to WelshDdraig in Ubisoft Blames AMD for performance issues in AC: Unity
Really Ubisoft? This claim could effect AMD's reputation. If I was AMD I would possibly go after them in court for potential damages.
I also love the fact that they are blaming AMD when AC:Unity is a NVIDIA GAMEWORKS Title. This is a partnership with Nvidia. Didn't AMD also get a lot of flack for Watch Dogs for optimisation? And what a supprise, that was a NVIDIA GAMEWORKS Title also. I think I see a pattern emerging here.
GG Ubisoft. I know this GIF was poster earlier on, but it's the truth and the truth needs to be seen.

Really Ubisoft? You have to dig your hole even deeper? I'm not even a fan of the Assassin's Creed series, but this just genuinely pisses me off. Blaming a hardware company for something that is clearly your own fault. It's honestly despicable. Don't even get me started on Uplay.
I would write a long winded post, but AMD's response to this really sums it up.
"The game (in its current state) is issuing approximately 50,000 draw calls on the DirectX 11 API. Problem is, DX11 is only equipped to handle ~10,000 peak draw calls. What happens after that is a severe bottleneck with most draw calls culled or incorrectly rendered, resulting in texture/NPCs popping all over the place. On the other hand, consoles have to-the-metal access and almost non-existent API Overhead but significantly underpowered hardware which is not able to cope with the stress of the multitude of polygons. Simply put, its a very very bad port for the PC Platform and an unoptimized (some would even go as far as saying, unfinished) title on the consoles".
