Well, at lest its not a Slugeron. What's the clock speed listed on the back of the PCB?

I'm currently running an i3 530. got a whole system for 70 bucks and wanted something to play basic games on (warframe actually runs perfectly). dropped in a 1050ti which I got on the cheap but new and I'm quite happy with it.

My old gaming pc is at home and has a phenom x2 1055T (which has about the same single core performance as the i3) and an HD6970. So I can play all my old games and new ones at better settings now ^^.

I don't really have to mention the gpu is horribly bottlenecked by the i3 though :P ...

Also, A few friends and I had an Age Of Empires 2 (steam version obviously) LAN-party recently where we played a bunch of other old games so I had to add an "external CD-Drive" as well

Enojoy some ghetto-rig-ness

I've actually got 2x of those Celeron (with one modded to run at 500MHz on my good Slot 1 board).

If its the 1055t, its got 6 cores and is probably better for gaming than the i3....

I am not playing any multi-core games really so there's not much of a difference. actually I believe the i3 is even ahead a little bit in single core performance.

I've gotten rid of a lot over the years but have still stubbornly held onto a few items.  Mostly controllers.

3DFX Voodoo 5 5500 AGP

3DFX Hammerhead FX Gamepad, built by Interact and uses a gameport.

20171212_235524.thumb.jpg.317e3b9a01fd11f1bdde427aa3953b28.jpg

I used to overclock this Voodoo 5 a few Mhz to get reasonable frame rates playing Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne.  So Good!  I had two, but returned one for an ATI Radeon 9600XT for TV connectivity.

I still have and use my ACT Labs Force RS Wheels, Shifter, and Pro Pedals too still getting used for Project Cars.  They're starting to wear and fail needing to upgrade soon.  There is a Gravis Joystick too that I played MechWarrior 2-4 with.

I only had a Celeron 433+TNT2 Vanta (overclocked to 130/130) to play WC3, and that was back in 2003 (still hadn't been given my mum's Celeron D+SIS integrated graphics desktop, which felt a lot slower)

Do 2 CRTs count as retro computer parts? One of them is being stored under my desk, the other I actually use as a second monitor:

Oh wow, I'm pretty sure I had that exact motherboard. I can't remember exactly though, as I was pretty young at the time. It was from my parents PC but I ended up getting it. I remember that box vividly, mainly because of that fucking weird swimmer guy.

Time for me to assemble my Packard Bell and show it off today. Probably won't be showing pictures of it running though-my work bench is in my shed, and it gets very hot in there (plus the case seems to absorb all of the heat-making it even hotter again).

I still have like 5 computers from the 90's (Pentium II/III) and I have a Ge-force 8600 I really dont know what version. I took it out of an XPS 400. I also have a SX270 with 2 GB of Corsair XMS DDR ram in it. I have a bunch of old stuff in my basement it's not even funny at this point. It just look like a hoarder's house.
