Is Internet Explorer on a Mac fast?

Warren Pnigel

Hi, me and my friend are debating something. My mac is running internet explorer as a browser, and when I opened my browser he laughed, and said it's a terrible browser. I've heard this on windows, but is internet explorer on mac still good?? thanks :)

IE Is actually, just... Fine! In fact I'd say people complain more about it now than when it was at it's worst.

Do not  as I  do, and  not  as I say. Instead do as you may..

I prefer Safari to Chrome, it's just so damn ugly on Windows.

I've been using firefox since I don't even know when... I just use that. You can't analyze website code in IE... nor can you customize it.

I swear there hasn't been ie on Mac since ie6. If you're still using ie 6, on behalf of all the web devs out there, please take out the drive that it is installed on and destroy it permanently. Seriously, ie <10 is horrifically terrible (and ie10 is far from perfect).

Safari, chrome and firefox are good. IE is not.

That would make sense, but then it would be no different to running IE on a normal PC

Let me put it this way. In the evergreen words of John Gruber:

"If Daring Fireball looks goofy in your browser, you’re likely using a shitty browser that doesn’t support web standards. Internet Explorer, I’m looking in your direction. If you complain about this, I will laugh at you, because I do not care."
