Jerakl

GTX980 for $599.

Assuming this is legit, would mean 980Ti will be around ~$699+ then and Titan2 at ~$999. USD.

I just hope that the 980ti and titan2 drop at the same time or a week or two later. At least a paper launch so we know the specs.

Until I see benchmarks I still think the 980 is a 780ti with more vram and slight perf boost. Baby Maxwell.

The difference between the 780 and 780ti compared to the 980-980ti is going to be interesting. Will it be the same gap, less or more???

More. GM204 has a 2560 core limit, and the thermal/electrical scaling on Maxwell is nuts. The overclocking headroom is huge too.

Fuck you Nvidia! 599? Fuck off!

Im pissed now if this turns out to be true. Really, really pissed!

Lol, why? Nothing has changed for years. I dunno why everyone gets mad every time a card launches and it's between $500 and $600.

I'd pay 599$ for 2560 cores but not 2048.

the real winner of this generation will probably be a 970. just like last Gx104/204 Generation (600 series)

The 2048 core card performs as good or better than the 2560 card. ;) I'm going to guess in the ballpark of about 10% with proper drivers. Which is not bad at alllllll.

Assuming there is a 980ti. 780ti was the only X80ti card, probably in response to the R9 290x which at the time beat out the 780. Or it was a "because we can".

I just found out I translated the price wrongly. Thought we were looking at 780ti prices.

How many people will upgrade to 980 if they already have a 780?

Hopefully nobody

Wouldn't that be dandy after Nvidia mentions they're dropping the prices.

970 looks like a pretty solid option. Guessing if they do launch a 960, it'll be $300.

Looking forward to seeing performance numbers now.

970 at 399$???? Screw your mid-high end card...! 399$ is a steal for near 780 performance.

Remeber, that's american dollars. Canadians will always end up paying a lot more.

I will keep my money. buying the last generation of 28nm gpu is crazy to me. I am no fool and will wait for both 20nm gpus from nvidia and AMD. Before I buy my next video card.

Test ideas by experiment and observation; build on those ideas that pass the test, reject the ones that fail; follow the evidence wherever it leads and question everything.

Depends on what you have and how long before 20nm arriveres

20nm could still be one year in the future.

All tech stuff ends ups being ~50$+ more in Canada. I heard 5820k was going to be 30$ more then my 4770k. LOOK AGAIN, IT'S NOW 90$ MORE! BOOM, CANADIAN PRICES.

Atleast it's not as bad as Australia.

Maybe get Canada to incentivize GloFo to build a foundry there since AMD is looking at abandoning TSMC for Samsung's 14nm tech altogether.

Not touching these! Waiting for GM210!

By then X99 might have dropped in price a bit as well, and WIndows 9 might be out. New Titan might be up for grabs.
