Turned it on, opened Firefox, modded my GTA: Vice City handling.cfg file, played Vice City for a while, came back here, plugged in my "external" hard drive (a regular WD1200BB IDE hard drive with an IDE ot USB converter), snooped around in it for a while, unplugged it, came back here.

I cleaned it from all its dust and then attempted to readjust the cable management in the back. Still an ugly bulge in the case. :(

Replaced the DVDRW as the old one decided to pack it in. Shopped for a replacement monitor as I hate my current Samsung that has a wobbly mount.

Reverted back to Windows 7 Ultimate after spending 2 weeks on Windows 8.1 pro.
I gave it a chance, I just couldn't take it anymore, many times I would boot and Windows wouldn't even load my stuff at startup. Meaning I didn't have anti virus protection, no logitech gaming software (macros and stuff), no thunderbird, no nothing...(I tried formatting 3 times to see if maybe it was an issue with the install... even redownloaded the ISO directly from microsoft twice, still the same) and then my anti virus often bugged out, refusing to open... forcing me to reboot again.

Honestly, with Classic Shell and OldNewExplorer, it was basically Win7, just more buggy, so I might as well revert back to something I knew worked perfectly fine. I just couldn't come up with a reason to use Windows 8.1 over Windows 7, it's basically the same thing. The major different is the Modern UI and nobody in their right mind would use that junk on a Desktop PC without a touchscreen to begin with.

Sooo yeah, recovered my Acronis backup from two weeks ago, adjusted Bitlocker to work again (Cyclic Redundancy error or whatever... nothing a few command line can't fix) and I'm back on Windows 7. I missed Aero... the flat colors of Win 8 is an eyesore honestly.. Not to mention I had to mod uxtheme in order to get a proper "black" theme, so that the text in the window header appear white, instead of staying Black like with the default windows themes... meaning you can't see it.

There IS Glass8, to get back Aero, but it put an eyesore of a massive watermark in the bottom right of the screen and the only way to get rid of it, is somehow donating money to get a unique unlock key for your hardware, yet you are not entitled to a key if you donate and there's no mention of how much you should donate to get a key.... seriously that guy doesn't know how to do business.

I've been staring at my case internals, just staring, the PC is off, because It's DEAD!

Currently using Samsung i5 Laptop /w GF 310m 512MB, so much power to work with I know!!!

Originally had a z68 Pro3 when I bought my 2600K.

2 Years later, 2133Mhz memory starts causing text corruption in the bios, switched to 1866Mhz and was fine. (CPU was at 4.8Ghz as daily driver)

Few months later, it just died, thank god, not taking anything else with it.

Replaced with a cheaper alternative :( - The z77 G43 (Non-Gaming), it DID NOT like 4.8Ghz lol, which is fair enough...

Had it at 4.6Ghz daily, one day I unplugged my secondary drives, for another machine, and then put it back, had to go back into the bios when it was back in.

Once that was done, restarted... Nothing. troubleshooting it all, narrowing hardware down, Nothing. Mobo is F'd.

As its a cheap board, I'll rma it, but buy another anyway...

z77 Extreme 4 /w PCIE 8x8 crossfire (which I wanted over 16x/4x)

Has been 16 days since purchase and was "sent" over a week ago, still not here. Expected timeframe was 23rd June - 3rd July.

So I'll be obviously chasing it up further tomorrow, I'm giving the seller the benefit of the doubt (maybe he sent it later then he thought he could).

But yeah, almost 3 weeks of my beast out of action, waking up to see it in pieces on my desk (cleaned n prepped for re-install)

Shouldn't be too long now I hope...

not today, but yesterday I modified a few registry files to finally get my corsair link to work right with my h100i.

I thought about it. And about how hard we're gonna game together in two weeks.

Then the water cooling begins.

Never say it's not broken. Everything is broken. Why? Because everything needs MOAR POWA!

Noticed something was wrong with my pc couldn't figure out what it was. It felt shitty and slow.

Checked refresh rate, my monitor had decided it wanted to be 60hz for the day after turning on my PC this morning.

And people say it isn't noticeable pfft. I actually blame display fusion I installed it after buying it on steam and when I restart my pc my monitor set itself to 60hz :o
