This game is never going to be released soon, as long as the funds keep mounting why put a lid on it?

Oh well... Good thing I didn't book any holiday for the release. On the plus side the footage of the module in the Wingmans Hangar looked pretty sweet.

 

I do kind of think that at an alpha stage such as this perfection should not be the only aim, yes make something that is good however as it is still so early bugs are going to happen. and I cannot help but thing that delaying the release dates time and time again is not doing a lot of good to keeping the more tenuous backers.

It was a good move, if they released it with major unplayable bugs the more vocal people in the backers group would be spouting more vitriol then complaining about a delay. It would do more harm for the rep of the game.

Have you heard of the game KOAR?  Big, grandiose ideas and then they didn't deliver.  They were handed money and it failed.

Star Citizen sounds like a big project to work on and they definitely need money to get good people to work on it but no matter how much money you throw at something it can still end up being a failure.

as far as I can tell most of the bug are critical to the mechanics and not, "hey that dude just no clipped through that wall." so what they are fixing are pertinant to the final v1.0 release of the PU or Squadron 42.
