Motorola Under Fire For Copying iPhone X

You replied to my comment where I literally pointed out that Apple didn't start it. And yes they would have because the display makers were going to offer them anyways Apple just paid a premium to get it out early

You miss the point. Just because notches existed before Apple did it, doesn't mean it was gonna catch on. It's only the new trend because Apple started doing it. Think, Apple has never really brought anything "new" to the table, but they take existing concepts and popularize them, and then a bunch of other companies follow them like sheep.

Simple fact, no escaping it. Not even gonna bother listing the many times this has happened even just in recent years, anyone paying attention will already know.

Oh I'm sorry I forgot this was the debate team? I'm not here to convince you of anything and neither of us are gonna change our opinions so why continue lmao. Your choice of products doesn't make your opinion any more or less valid anyways

Motorola, all I wanted was a updated RAZR. Now you will probably be sued out of existence and I will never get to have another phone that will take that kind of abuse.

They're owned by Lenovo. Lenovo have pretty deep pockets.

Apple didnt start the notch Essential did, but even so people dont understand how phones are made.

Companies buy parts from suppliers and the suppliers have various offerings. The latest offerings from Samsung Display/AU Optronics (Joint makers of AMOLED) and LG (P-OLED) have a notch to accommodate the camera while maximizing screen real estate. That's why most of the flagships have notches. Of course it can be done on LCDs too but I'm just pointing out that like 3 companies make all the phone screens

You say that essential started the notch but have you thought that it takes more than 4 months to design a phone?

I'm well aware, just like those phones after the iPhone x also were likely developed at the same time

Also I want to point out that Apple didn't start the headphone jack removal trend either, someone mentioned that earlier in the thread and I just want to debunk that, it was Motorola that did that first

Apple is just salty because Motorola figured out a way to...

USE THEIR LOGO AS A FINGERPRINT SENSOR ON THE BACK BECAUSE ITS SO DAMN EASY.

Seriously Apple, everyone is copying you and you're going after one company when plenty of others have. Make a better design already.

Well, the performance of the phones best matters to me not the looks. And I think the battle is between android and ios versions of the phone. But for me, I still prefer using android phones.
