Ok so I was excited by the new artisan garlic white cheddar chicken sandwich, which is the first of their artisan sandwiches that looked good at all. So I gave it a try today. Aaaaand, they gave me a garlic white cheddar BEEF sandwich. So I drive back through the drive through and get the correct item with chicken this time. I get back to work go to the breakroom and sit down to try 2 different sandwiches. The beef just doesn't work well with the flavor and in general the beef wasn't seasoned , someone forgot to season that batch aparently

The chicken was good, but just good. The cheddar is mediocre quality not well melted and put below the chicken which means the cheese and garlic didn't mingle into a wonderfully heartstopping garlic cheddar mixture like i hoped. It was basically a slightly better than normal chicken sandwich with an underwhelming garlic sauce dripped on the bottom bun

I give the beef variant a 0/10, might as well buy a cheaper cheeseburger that tastes better.

I give the chicken variant a 5/10, better than normal and a great mouthwatering idea, but poorly executed, a true lost potential

Insanity is not the absence of sanity, but the willingness to ignore it for a purpose. Chaos is the result of this choice. I relish in both.

MacDonalds.... artisan. There was your 1st clue, should have paid more attention, it was pretty obvious. Like performance and bulldozer CPU or Linus and careful not to drop.

Have you tried the KFC Waffle Double Down? It's glorious.

Generally for burgers I go to Carl's Jr or....FatBurger. I find both are pretty quality. For true fast food, Wendy's is a total win for me. Their burgers are just downright excellent. Burger King with their newer burgers are a close second. I only go to McDonalds if I have 2 Can Dine coupons and feel like being a total glutton.

Here's a tip if you're a coffee fan like me. If you use those two can dine coupons at the self-serve kiosks, you can choose an extra large coffee as your drink for no additional cost. Doubt they would give you that option at the counter.

I would assume so, I haven't tried with tea yet. The system allows you to substitute with any drink and any additional cost for that change will be applied. Just so happens that with coffee, it doesn't seem charge you extra.

I love the self serve menu boards. I think they should be in all fast food restaurants, that way I don't feel as judged when I order.

Plus you can customize to your hearts content without having to repeat yourself a bunch of times.

I'll try it with tea next time I go! I really shouldn't be getting 2 large pops...

I'm with you on wendy's but I've never found anything tasty at a burger king. The 3 times I've tried them the food was nasty and greasy and left me feeling sick. One time I couldn't even eat the burger because it wasn't fully cooked. and the customer experience there was horrible each time. And before you ask, these were 3 different locations. Never tried the double down, but I might give it a go at next paycheck. We don't have carl jr's or fatburgers here.

As I said I have always scoffed at their "artisan" burgers, most look horrible, but garlic and white cheddar is a good combo with chicken that's hard to mess up. They didn't mess it up, per se, but they could've hit a home run with a bit more effort

There's a mcd's by my house that we avoid because we have NEVER in the last 2 years got an order right the first time

The customizing is great IF they make it right...

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

Yeah, McD and good food is not a combination I would expect from that chain.

If I want a burger, it either be an In-and-Out (sucks, that a West coast chain so none down here) or the local hamburger joint in Dothan by the theaters.

Minimum wage employees dont care. I always get no onion no pickle and I'd say half the time they get it wrong in any McPukes I go to while I am on the road. Funny thing is you always have to repeat your order twice or three times. I refuse to use the DIY kiosks, so everytime I go into McPukes and no customer is at the cashier and people are waiting for their order, you usually have to wait 4+ minutes for them to see you behind the muffins waiting patiently in front of the cashier. When that happens and I see that they are moving towards the cashier, I usually slowly turn around and walk slowly back 5 feet and let out a big ole exhale of breath and shake my head.

I usually go for non breaded chicken but I havent found any that I like, so I go with the good ole standby's that have been on the menu for decades. I do miss the McRib.

I prefer Wendys over McPukes anyday, Fat Burger type joints are the best but expensive. The ones I cringe at are the Burger King type joints where the flame broil the burger, I just never liked the taste. Its the very last resort, McDonalds is last place. They are only good for drink fountain because its where the customer fills their own drink because then I can mix water with Ice Tea and have just the right amount of ice. I called into HQ about a Tims Horton employee having her kid run behind the cashier and into the heating frozen food section.  I am considering going down to City Hall and filing a formal complaint with the Business License and Health Inspection department. Its something you'd see a store proprietor do, not a major national frozen food reheater chain called Tim Hortons.

Have you watched the McDonalds movie @Jtalk4456 with Keaton acting, it was interesting to watch.
