Starting January 1st, 2021, we will be handing out awards based on new higher folding badge thresholds. These new values have been decided due to the increase of power a GPU can provide; this has made it much easier to achieve badges in recent years. Anyone holding a current badge will be grandfathered in! This means you won't have your badge downgraded after the new thresholds come into effect.    F@H Badge Thresholds In order to be rewarded with the Folding @ Home badge, please

Actually you are correct - The purpose of folding is a fight everyone is on the same side of with the same goal, we just do it on different teams.
BTW I'm on the W9 team, currently ranked 180 or so ATM.

We're a small team but getting it done anyway.

Whoa, you guys are a small team, but you're really punching high above your weight class, keeping up with teams with thousands of folders. That's quite amazing, and as you say, fold on!

Yeah, I've been getting some odd WUs in past 2 hours (14500, 14510, 14511) which tanked the PPD of all my cards(R9 380x, GTX1070 and newly added 2080 Super).
Also, they are 0x21 sadly, and my Nvidia GPUs especially do not like them:

Summer folding sprint is slated for first week of June.

@Favebook. I'm currently crunching an '11743' which is listed on the official folding project summary page as a 'Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 causing virus)'.

 

It's core 22, and giving me ~740k ppd from a 1660 Ti. That doesn't seem too bad, plus tbh I don't really mind if there's a ppd drop on the COVID WU's.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind at all, I was just stating facts.


However, I just checked and seems that I've been given Ebola Virus (14500-14511) WUs with some REALLY REALLY low atom count.

 

EDIT:

My 2080 Super just got 11741 WU (COVID-19) and it gives double the PPD estimate over the 14500 WU.
