Starting January 1st, 2021, we will be handing out awards based on new higher folding badge thresholds. These new values have been decided due to the increase of power a GPU can provide; this has made it much easier to achieve badges in recent years. Anyone holding a current badge will be grandfathered in! This means you won't have your badge downgraded after the new thresholds come into effect.    F@H Badge Thresholds In order to be rewarded with the Folding @ Home badge, please

If you read here there is currently no active WUs for corona virus.

 

But they are dedicating as much as they can towards finding ways to fight it directly. The current line of reasoning is that the work done on SARS WUs will be able to be used on some way towards the COVID-19 fight.

Damn.. Voltage spike took out my Folding rig.

 

It was pulling a cool 200W when the spike hit - hope the power supply took the brunt of it, and nothing else is damaged. ?

 

EDIT :

 

Running folding on my laptop now, to get a jaw-dropping 22k PPD.

Thats why I'm running one DIMM the other is doing even worse, thought it was my IMC but a chip swap with a friend for a week has proven otherwise

What are you user to see GPU useage, you need to swap it to CUDA for team green in task manager

to maximise your folding efficiency, don't worry about CPU folding as much (the power draw is nowhere near worth the PPD output)

 

have a look at your GPU usage in something like GPUZ.

Have you swapped it to CUDA or Compute in task manager?
