I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Yeah but moving from state to state probably wouldn't be as much of a bitch as moving from say. Sweden to the US (Especially with how much of a bitch it is to get a green card..)

Move to Louisiana. No one cares here and they don't care enough that half the places you go to don't even inspect your car properly when it's time, they just give you a new sticker lol

Yeah but because the "GODEZIRRUUU" has a popular engine with massive aftermarket support also means you need a mountain of cash to make your "GODEZIRRUUU" go fast.

Sounds like it needs more power in general as well as better transmission and boost control logic programming.

No because that's driving it in manual. ;) And more power? Nah. 365/420 is more than enough, the problem is turbos.

Ford Ecoboost engines limit boost until 2000 rpm. Most tunes remove this limit; however, that does make the engine more susceptible to LSPI.

But i will say that the R34 is more different. Everyone has a 911, why not get an R34?

Also it's japanese so it may break less and be a bit cheaper to fix. I could be wrong however. (since it wasn't made here)

Makes all the torque at 2k rpm, transmission is very happy down there, it goes up pretty quick. I will grant you this, the reason why boost doesn't kick in until 2k is because your gas mileage turns to shit. :P

yeah, and the r34 is more practical than a 911 (still little, but there's still more than the 911) because it's got a bigger trunk i assume, and i'm pretty sure you can fit 4 people at least in the skyline, if you ever wanted to scare the living shit out of them in one.

User throttle control also limits boost. They probably did this because most users are incapable of controlling the throttle enough to keep the thing out of boost lol

but I will say when matt had his tune, it made a crazy difference at low rpm. It's like it became an electric car. you hit the gas and the turbo spools faster than you can say "what?" and you're gone.

Don't think it's about mileage, I think it's to avoid LSPI like @bcredeur97 mentioned. ;)

Lag or not, I still gravitate to turbos. They do require a change of driving style, depending on what you're doing, but that's not a problem for me. ;)

The reason for that is because usually the stock boost controller/logic allows the wastegate to start opening as soon as it starts making boost. This slows the time it takes to build full boost (more lag), making the power come on more smoothly rather than abruptly. Once you do a tune and tweak that boost control logic, it keeps the wastegate closed until the ECU sees the desired boost, then it opens the gate. This reduces lag significantly and is why you often see a little boost spike after a tune. :D

I love the supercharger in my dad's A6 3.0T(should be S!) in terms of power. But then I wonder if it had two turbos instead how much more power it would make... from the factory? probably not much. But I'm sure it would be shown in the tunes for it.

But considering you can just flash an APR tune onto it and get 436hp/372ft-lbs (stock on 93 is 319hp/332tq according to APR) on 93 octane is crazy! I so wish he would get the tune, that would of been first on my list lol (especially considering he has a third party warranty on it and they don't look for that kind of stuff like an Audi dealership would)

The car is already surprisingly fast -- I didn't tell my dad this (shhh) but matt pulled down a highway(stock tune, he still had his mustang at this time) with me behind him in the A6 and I was catching him while we were both on throttle. And i'm in a car that weighs 4000 lbs!!!
