They are harder to snap than you think. ;) The only thing you really have to worry about is having enough room to get your hands in there and getting the route around each pulley correct.

If I could find one for cheap I'd actually want a 7.3 Van, But they're all like 5K with north of 250K on them

It's not the mileage on the engine that bugs me, it's that mileage on the chassis, no one around here really takes good care of their cars, and we get hit with tons of salt in the winters, so I'd be afraid to see how rusty that would be under there

What is the opposite of a stroker engine?

Is there a name for it? Also i thought strokers had lower compression as the piston heads are further away, I also thought the lower compression is what gives it the thump sound. Guess i have to do a bit more research on engines and terminology

but stroker engines go further up and down? isnt that their point? to extend the stroke further thus "inhaling" more air/fuel and compressing it more to get a bigger bang?

Belt was easy. Not the easiest car I've ever done but not hard at all.

 

this thing looked like the hood hasn't been opened since it was new. Dirt and grease and junk everywhere. So naturally being the nice guy I am, I had to clean it up a bit as I went. Go the extra mile, per say. Just wiped stuff down as I went. image.jpeg

the belt was in shambles. Looked like it would fly apart at any minute. Probably original...

Another successful diecast run! My first time opening up a fresh case and I didnt know what to expect. Nothing really to match my P1 find, but managed to get an Integra GSR and a Model S, among others. @MEC-777 drop by your local walmart if you're curious :)
