It's just a stupid adaper. My bad I got it off, it did not feel like an adapter.

Definitely looks like it, the question is what kind of DC adapter you need, which would either be printed on the device somewhere or you need to find a spec sheet for it on the internet somewhere, in which brings us back to the question: what is it? Specific model numbers please.

Did you like tear apart an external harddrive?

98% chance it's just a typical 12V DC barrel connector. You probably want like 1.5A.

 

You specifically want a USB 3.0 microB cable for the data connection.

USB 2.0 microB cables fit too, but obviously it's a lesser speed.

The label on the drive should tell you the power requirements. Most likely the voltage needed would be 12v and a small voltage regulator on that board would produce 5v needed for the electronics on the drive to work.... but don't take my word for it.

 

Also that board may be removable , there may be some screws you can undo to pull out the small pcb and gain access to regular sata power and data connectors.  

 

in the picture the drive is still screwed to some metal housing, and your picture is at an angle that doesn't show if the original sata power and data connectors are further inside the drive's bottom.

That's almost certainly a drive pulled out of an external USB caddy with the adapter still plugged in.  Most likely came with a 12V 1.5A adapter.

And for the problem, is it just a daughter board plug in 3.5" HDD? And the HDD is just regular SATA? 

If yes, then just connect it to your PC like normal ( if you have normal PC and not laptop )
