Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Great colour choice. I love the sound of that engine!

I didn't even get to choose the colour, it was just what they had in stock at the time.... I wasn't prepared to wait when I traded in my old car XD

Good news! I finally replaced my boring Golf with something more exciting: An '02 Saab 9-5 Aero wagon. 2.3l, 4 cylinders and big old Turbo. Im blown away by it. The seats are incredibly comfortable and it makes 250hp. Unfortunately it's an automatic, but that fits the cars character quite well. Put some new snow tires on it today, so I'm ready for the ski season. It was kinda broken when I bought it, but a few sparkplugs and an ignition Cassette later, it runs like new.

oh i love those things, also wouldnt expect anything less than incedibly comfortable from saab :D

not really. we just won't have much to say... it's well.. a prius. nothing special lol

the prius would be more interesting if it was faster than like a V6 camry or something. but it isn't *shrug*

I mean, I love the car because it's great as a daily driver for a high school kid (great mpg, lot of maneuverability, safe car, and I couldn't speed and drive like a maniac even if I wanted to), but yeah lol

well it's not so much driving like a maniac on the road (please don't) but being able to have fun on a nice twisty road on a beautiful day is quite nice.

That said.. I do kinda treat every turn as if im on an autocross course sometimes(especially roundabouts)...not like screeching tires or anything too crazy but i take em quickly. (if its clear) to me its normal at this point lol

but yeah the prius is a good little commuter, especially in town where it makes good use of the electric motor. On the highway... not as much. to me it's only worth it if you use the electric portion a lot, otherwise just get an old corolla or something.

I did a poll for this a long time ago on Miata.net and it was really popular.

well for NB owners anyway

It’s really just about anyone who buys Miatas, young and old, and in between.

it does seem like in general the older folks buy them because it reminds them of old MG B’s and such

idiotic prius drivers have turned me off from ever owning one. somehow it's mainly the overly eco conscious prius drivers that drive 30 under the speed limit that piss me off. (not saying i'm going to lump you with the majority, you're probably sensible with it, but i just can't stand prius drivers, hence i discriminate the prius tbh)
