True that, thanks for the feedback though

Here is a 10 game average from Hardware Unboxed at 1440p with the RTX 4090 and you can see that the 13600k keeps up quite well.

Yes its on the lower part of the scoreboard but there are only a couple of FPS's that really separate the CPU's here.

Would you notice a difference between 164 and 171 fps? Nah not really 馃檪

Just test that 4090 and make sure its legit. I'm still sketched out by the price but hey, maybe it actually is somethin good.

Hi guys, my current pc has an intel i5 13600K (water cooled), an Asus TUF 3060 ti and 32gigs of 3600 mhz ram, I'm planning on upgrading my gpu because i'm upgrading my resolution to 1440p from 1080p. I play intense games such as red dead, avatar etc as well as less intensive fps games. I was planning on going for a second hand 4080 which is around 600-700 euros here, but I saw this guy who is selling his 4090 for 600 euros with warranty as well. It's just too good of a price to ignore so I wanted to ask here if the bottleneck will create an issue or not until I can eventually upgrade my CPU (which is most likely gonna be in at least 6-7 months). Also side question, will overclocking my CPU help with the bottleneck?聽

4090 for 600 Euros?聽 No way.聽聽 New they still go for 1700-1800 Euros, no one is taking a 1100 Euro loss on a 4090 unless its sketchy.

The 13600k is fast enough for the 4090 at 1440p gaming 馃檪

You have a link for that 4090 for 600 Euros?

I'd upgrade the monitor first. the 3060ti should do ok at 1440p.聽

The 4090 for 600 seems suspiciously low to me. I'd probably stay away unless you can test it.

yeah I know, I'm very carefull with these things so ofc I will go and test it in person before buying. Also forgot to mention but I'm already buying the monitor, i'll do it right before upgrading the gpu

oh my... This is exactly what I was looking for thanks! Although it was too sketchy in the end for the 4090, I received no proof and unclear messages so yeah I'm still gonna go with the rtx 4080 but it's hard to find a good deal. The 13600 should definetly hold for one more year at the very least, then i'll think of an upgrade, rn it's worth uprgading in terms of price/performance.聽

The 13600k will last more than one more year in terms of gaming performance. Definitely 4+ more years and even longer if you are not picky.

I use an RTX 4080 myself and I love it!聽 It does really well in 1440p gaming and its been a joy to use.

Well little update, in the end, I will be getting an RTX 4070 TS (ti super) since I found one brand new for 925 CAD. The 4080s are unfortunately slightly out of my budget, but yeah it's good to know that I picked a pretty solid CPU at the time, I will use it as long as it goes. Thanks again for the feedback聽
